This is the place to post your intent to participate in our 2016 Reading Challenge and what level you hope to complete. There is no obligation to do so nor any penalty for changing your level in the course of the year.

I plan to do the slacker 1 per month Nonconformist level! Not because I don't read an average of 4 per month, but because I refuse to let them all be assigned reading ;)

I think that I might plan to do the bibliophile level. We will see how it goes. I could move to Jukin the Stats!

I am going to attempt 2 a month. Unless it cuts into my fiber time.

*UPDATE* Looks like I will be able to handle 3 a month!! Yeah me!!

My intention is 2 a month bookworm. I think I read one book all last year and need to do something about that

I intend to read two books a month at the bookworm level.

I'm going for jts. Of course, that's only because I figure about one a month will be audio.

I wasn't going to participate b/c I read 1-2/mo for bookclubs, plus spiritual/personal growth material regularly. I am also vowing to put a serious dent into my TBR book pile at home with hopes of 1-2/mo there. And, like Malissa, I prefer indiscriminate reading of my own choosing most of the time. That being said, I already meet criteria for one category this month, so if I can find some crossover, I may get 1-2/month read for this challenge.

To Nikki, I'm sure you'll be able to find cross-over books. I'm using this as encouragement to work on my tbr list. And trying to read down the books gathering dust on my shelf. Both 2 and 3 for this month are coming from my own collection.

I'm a little late to the party, but I'm really happy to be participating in the challenge. I'm challenging myself to hit bibliophile level, but my not-so-secret goal is to hit juking the stats at least 4 months of the year.

I'm getting in on this late, I've been debating myself whether to join. I have many books I want to read and I'm not sure they will fit all categories. I'm starting out with a goal of 1 book a month, because I want to read my own choices

Question-reading parameters of genres only within the designated month? Or are we allowing catchup re past months but no reading ahead?

Only within the month :) Though we have allowed some began in the month or finished in the month leniency.

Are there really 40 members in this group? Would love to do an IRL book challenge completion party when we're done. Book themed games? Bookish snacks? :)

Not that many people are doing the Challenge, as far as I know. We can talk about doing a completion get together at the end.
