The Head Cheerleader (The Long Journey Book 1) by Sheila Black-Jarrett

Leah Mason goes to Temple High. She's not the prefect student and with it being her senior year she is putting it nicely slacking off. What happens when Nicole Meadows the head cheerleader starts hanging around Leah? Will Leah be able to stop the feelings that start to develop or is she up for a heart ache?

My best friend Sheila Black-Jarrett is also on here and has her book on sale at Amazon.

Alex Pearl (alexpearl) | 1 comments Hi everyone,
I'm Alex and my first fulllength novel 'The Chair Man' is now FREE to download on all e-platforms including Kindle for as long as this awful COVID19 is with us.
Here is the blurb, editorial review and my biog. The Amazon links are at the bottom of this message.
Enjoy, and more imporantly, stay safe!
Alex
Michael Hollinghurst is a successful corporate lawyer living a comfortable, suburban life in leafy North West London. But on 7 July 2005, his life is transformed when he steps on a London underground train targeted by Islamist suicide bombers. While most passengers in his carriage are killed, Michael survives the explosion but is confined to a wheelchair as a result. Coming to terms with his predicament and controlling his own feelings of guilt as a survivor conspire to push him in a direction that is out of character and a tad reckless.
In a quest to seek retribution, he resorts to embracing the internet and posing as a radical Islamist in order to snare potential perpetrators. Much to his surprise, his shambolic scheme yields results and is brought to the attention of both GCHQ and a terrorist cell.
But before long, dark forces begin to gather and close in on him. There is seemingly no way out for Michael Hollinghurst. He has become, quite literally, a sitting target.

--------------------------------------

"'The Chair Man' would make an excellent book club choice, stimulating discussion and lively argument. It contains masses of detailed information, selection from which can justify a wide range of interpretations. Many readers will admire Hollinghurst. He is a good father, particularly to his daughter Natasha, who considers him "the best frigging dad in the world", and he possesses "in spades" the "primal need to feel and protect your own flesh and blood." His son Ben thinks he "could always see the good in others." But that is exactly how many terrorists are remembered by almost all who knew and loved them.
"The nearest I ever got to a "terrorist incident" was in East London, when I heard the IRA bomb go off in Docklands in 1996. I cannot predict my reaction were I to be caught up personally in such events, but I hope I would not go the same way as Michael Hollinghurst, the central figure in this entertaining and elaborately-plotted novel. It is a gripping thriller that repays careful and close reading (and I will certainly read it again)."
Graham Smith, 2020

Back in the distant mists of time, Alex spent three years at art college in Maidstone; a college that David Hockney once taught at, and later described in a piece for The Sunday Times as the 'most miserable' episode of his life. Here, Alex was responsible for producing - among other things - the college's first theatrical production in which the lead character accidentally caught fire. Following college, he found employment in the advertising industry as a copywriter. He has turned to writing fiction in the twilight years of his writing career.
His novella, 'Sleeping with the Blackbirds' - a black, comic urban fantasy, was initially written for his children in 2011 and published by PenPress. It has since become a Kindle bestseller in the US.
In 2014 his short story, 'Scared to Death' - the fictionalised account of the first British serviceman to be executed for cowardice during the First World War, was published in an anthology ('The Clock Struck War') by Mardibooks along with 22 other short stories to mark the centenary of the Great War.
Alex's psychological thriller, 'The Chair Man' set in London following the terrorist attack in 2005 was published as an e-book by Fizgig Press in 2019 and as a paperback in 2020. It is his first full-length novel.
Alex's claim to fame is that he is quite possibly the only person on this planet to have been inadvertently locked in a record shop on Christmas Eve.

Sonia Shade (soniashade) | 1 comments How To Write Erotica: A Simple Plan To Write Naughty Stories

The reason I wrote this ebook apart from that I am a writer is that a few people have told me that 'How To Make Money Publishing Erotica!' doesn't have enough about the actual writing process and it's more about the selling side of writing naughty books, so with this, I have decided to fix that and write this guide on how to write erotica.

Some of the subjects covered are:

How to plan a story

Writing a story you can sell

How to write

What to write

This short guide also has an erotica short story connected with it that I wrote using the planning system in this guide! It's called 'Daddy's Poker Friends'

Number 1 best Seller!

Deb Irsik (dairsik) | 2 comments Hi, I'm Deb.
I have a book series for upper MG or teen readers. Heroes by Design is the first book and also the name of the series.
The books take the reader through three years and each book chronicles Sela and her friend's trials.
Sela has an incredible gift of faith but is so focused she doesn't realize that she comes off as being pushy. Emily and Zach balance her and help her see how she is perceived.
When Emily suffers a tragic event and loses faith Sela prays for an intervention. The result is the introduction of the "Way" twins. Now one knows they are angels. Lots of laughs and learning take place as these characters weave their way in different forms through the series.
Readers will be inspired and motivated by each of the characters.
Sela learns to get out of God's way and let Him lead and her friends find their voices in this journey.

Samples can be found at dairsik.com under the Books tab or

Tirza Schaefer (tirzaschaefer) Hi everyone, so happy to be here! Looks like an awesome bunch of books and people.

I would love to introduce myself, I am mainly a romance author but I do have a couple of poetry books and a family travelogue and children's book to my name as well.

After speaking with teachers and parents about how Covid has affected the children in this world, especially in poorer regions, I have decided to make my children's book PERMANENTLY FREE.

It's kind of a text/teaching book but it's also a really giggly wild ride on how to learn about conscious creation. So the aim was to empower children and teach them that they don't have to feel completely helpless but have power themselves inside. It is based on a conversation I had with my youngest daughter when she was 8. You can pick your store to download the book here:

Tirza Schaefer (tirzaschaefer) I'd love to introduce you to my book Tank, the first in the Seals in Spain trilogy. It's a reverse harem novel with Sarah, an empty-nester, coming to Spain to work for three badass sexy men, Tank, Dom and Seb, as housekeeper and they fall in love with her, too.

It's a steamy story full of love, action and great emotions. There are also some psychic talents mentioned but mostly, it's straight forward contemporary with a crazy, hilarious French chef to boot who gets off on food and a Nazi mum who is racist, homophobe and generally hateful but Sarah helps her to make peace at the end of her life, with herself and her son and his best friends.

So if you're up for a crazy cow, terrorists and true, unconditional love, Tank is the right book for you. (Incidentally, these characters will have a guest appearance in the third book of my other RH series The Milf Diaries, all with mature women and somewhat younger men who adore and love them.)

Enjoy the ride from the UK to Spain, to the US and back again!

Koby Bowie | 1 comments Hi readers and authors,
I am looking for new readers interested in newly released fiction, particularly sports and general romance. I wrote my debut novel, 1842, and released it last May. It is about two black boys growing up in Oklahoma City, playing baseball and going through their own traumas. Both are two of the best in the nation and must learn how to handle success while going through a pain-ridden personal life. Common themes: Jesus, dating, marriage, abandonment, fatherlessness, baseball (of course), failure, financial freedom, and many other positive ones. Some language and sexual situations throughout, but nothing beyond pg-13. A great story for teens and young adults. If interested, or if you know anyone who would be, please follow/share my attached link. That would be so cool. Best of luck to my fellow authors here. Blessings

1842 Koby L. Bowie
