I've been very satisfied with weebly until recently, when it became very slow in loading the first page. Once you get there it loads other pages quickly. I don't know if it's some setting on my computer that changed, or if it's trouble with weebly. But you might take a look at it, and even set up a free site just to see if you'd like it.

Melissa Jensen (kdragon) | 469 comments I've heard good things about Wix. I also use Weebly and like it well enough, but sometimes it seems to have these hiccup moments, such as this one time when I couldn't create any links. Plus trying to put images and text in all the right places has been a bit of a pain, but that could just be me and my lack of web-creation foo.

Melissa Jensen (kdragon) | 469 comments I know very little about web design so I can't say anything about more involved personal effects, but when it came to the resources the site provided -fiddliness of placement aside - I found the site to be fairly easy to use. But it does take some experimenting and exploring. For example, it took me a while to not only discover that the site had a plethora of fonts but how to access those fonts.

We all have different criteria for how we want to present ourselves. I have no website building experience but my own, everything on it is free. My host site is privately owned, but I can check to see if he wants more customers.

Andres Mann | 15 comments I have spent some time working with Godaddy. I sort of have things under control. The controls are reasonably intuitive, but it's still a learning curve. You may want to check my work in progress at www.andresmann.com

Will investigate Weebly. Here's a question for you, how's the administrative end of it look? Is it easy to set up pages & effects? ..."

It's the only website I've had, so I don't know how it compares to others, but I find it relatively easy to do what I want. And if I can do it...well, you know.

Andres Mann | 15 comments Administration with GoDaddy is fairly easy. If you can do what you want using your present setup, I suggest that you stick with it.
