All About Books discussion

Since I failed miserably on most of my 2015 challenges I'm going to make this one a little more broad:

Read 50 books in 2016
Read all the books I already own
Read at least 3 non-fiction books this year
Try not to commit myself to too many challenges and book clubs so that I feel overwhelmed and don't even want to read.

Hi Beth , I like your challenges . I'm not very good at challenges , but I definitely have to challenge myself to read some of what i already own on my kindle .

The Little Friend

The Luminaries (started it a few times and never finished it)
The Night in Question (started and never finished)

I don't know why I buy books and then decide I don't want to read them...LOL

I do that sometimes when it a kindle daily deal.

Is The Little Friend the Donna Tartt book? I've got that on my bookshelf as well, maybe I'll try pick it up next year too.

Beth, finishing off books that you already have is is such a relief! I did that about two years ago. I didn't force myself to read those books given to me which don't appeal to me. Nowadays those books I buy I force myself to read before purchasing more. It is wonderful since you are always reading books you really want to read just now.

I saw you have a Colum McCann. Have you read him before? I love his writing though it doesn't mean I love every single thing by him. my favorite is ....no, I will not say one b/c so many are good and I like that he writes about different topics. Many authors cannot do that. It is his style of writing that I love.
