It exists now.

So what I was thinking:

My character, Jasper, who is in the character workshop (https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...), and your character were born to a fairly happy couple.

But then, not long after your character was born, the father was murdered. The mother was not really able to deal, through herself into drinking and into her work. Of course, they weren't rich, so I was thinking she remarried, and the step-dad was abusive (definitely physically and verbally -- possibly sexually?).

And then I think Jasper got stuck in a destroyed building or collapsed tunnel with other kids for a while -- helped keep them alive. Then I think after months they were rescued. She goes home.

I don't have much else except that she/(she + your guy) track down the guy who killed their father and have now made him work for them. And Jasper becomes a petty criminal and a bit of a smart-ass and a bit destructive.

I'm willing to change up a lot of this up depending on your thoughts.

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 610 comments Hmm... I want him to be evil evil, but every fiber of my being wants me to have him try to reform his sister and help her out. >.<

LOL. She could totally have taught him some skills -- like petty criminal stuff. Maybe he has more ambition in the criminal underworld than she does? Jasper will get a girlfriend at some point who is a total stickler for rules, so that can be the reform-y bit for Jasper.

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 610 comments Maybe he's totally evil in all aspects except his sister?

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

That works. And Jasper could totally adore him and completely excuse anything bad he does and is actually proud of him or something. Maybe yours could keep trying to convince her to actually aspire to be more than a petty criminal -- like keep trying to convince her into worse crimes?

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 610 comments Would he? Or would he want her to be equal with him, so they could stay together, which is the motive for his encouragement.

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

That could be. So he has criminal ambitions and she doesn't. And he wants her to be his equal. Okay.

message 9: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 610 comments What would he do too?

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

More evilly things than just petty crime?

message 11: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 610 comments Maybe he encourages battles and death so they can rob corpses afterwards?

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

So he'd try to set up fights between different opposing groups, so like Diablor and Divinit, and the City Council and the Resistance. Okay. Maybe he does other things, too, like steal from poor people, or maybe murders more and does more elaborate crimes?

message 13: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 610 comments Uh huh! Murders those with inferior lives, that live like animals, in 'mercy'?

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

Okay. So he actually believes it's right then?

message 15: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 610 comments Maybe!

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

Cool

message 17: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 610 comments Okay, and... Faceclaims. Gee, guy faceclaims. What about that lead singer from Pentatonix?

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

Could you send me a link to a picture of him please?

message 20: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah, he'll work.

message 21: by Ilsa (new)

Ilsa (eruaistaniel) | 610 comments Okay! :D
