Me too.I've decided one rule that I'll read books in their publication date order.

Andrea AKA Catsos Person (catsosperson) | 1685 comments I rally like your list Arpit. You have some good selections there.

I was thinking of using "The Importance of Being Earnest" for my bingo lineup too.

So I'll not waste my time to decide what-to-read-now.

Hmm that's also cool.
BTW in which order? I mean shortest first or largest?

message 15: by Jarvis (new)

Jarvis | 17 comments Shortest first :P

message 16: by Jarvis (new)

Jarvis | 17 comments I haven't made my list yet, but my first book of 2016 will be Don't Fall by Rachel Schieffelbein .
I need to reed it for some other challenge :)

Jarvis | 17 comments I will try to join you for the alchemist :)

I love Romeo and Juliet :D

I also hope I enjoy that YA!! XD

Powder River Rose (powderriverrose) | 148 comments Great list. I'm reading the Wrinkle in Time series right now. Excellent series. Happy 2016 Bingo!

Thanks Powder River Rose (if this is your name).
I hope I'll like A Wrinkle in Time. Although I have only planned about first book but if I like it I might continue the series.
Happy reading.

Powder River Rose (powderriverrose) | 148 comments Rose is the name. If you don't ever get to the rest of the series it won't really matter as each book, while interrelated, ends without the notorious cliffhangers that force one to the next book.

My first book in Bingo:

I2: New-to-You Author : The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain 5 stars.

Nice beginning.

Tadiana ✩Night Owl☽ | 96 comments I might join you with Steppenwolf, To Kill a Mockingbird, and/or Invisible Man.

Wow, that'll be really helpful and fun.
About Steppenwolf, I guess philosophy needed to discussed.

Pink wrote: "Well done completing your first challenge book :)"

Yeah, and that was really nice. A real classic, I'd say. Although I haven't added Hucklebery Finn in my list, but before reading other 'Challenge-books' I'll complete that.

message 33: by Pink (new)

Pink | 5491 comments I think the only Twain I've read was The Diary of Adam and Eve, I really should try something else by him.

Under the Classic of America category, I guess.

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

Currently reading The Guide under 'Literary prize of your country/ region' category.
The Guide won the Sahitya akademi award 1960.

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

One more Done. The Guide. Really liked it.
I'm liking it how I don't have to do any extra effort for this challenge.

Thanks Kathy.
This was my first bingo challenge and I was afraid but still I applied for Blackout level. Now this is all resulting in a sweet manner.
I used to read classic before but this challenge spread my areas.
If I didn't participated in this challenge, I would never read Shakespeare because I was so afraid of his language (not a native English speaker) but this challenge (and group) encouraged me to read him. I'm now going to read his work, in original text-no translations- though I'll use annotated version.
Thanks again for being supportive.

You are welcome and I'm glad that you are having a positive experience with the challenge.

message 41: by Laurie (new)

Laurie | 1895 comments I think it's wonderful that you are attempting Shakespeare now. It is daunting for native English speakers to tackle his work since English has changed significantly in the last 400 years. You are a greater disadvantage so I applaud your effort. I hope you enjoy whichever play you read.

But I'm damn sure I'll complete it.
Once my exams are finished, then watch me :P

message 45: by [deleted user] (new)

Done with The Godfather.

message 46: by [deleted user] (new)

Is there any book that is more boring than A Farewell to Arms?

Andrea AKA Catsos Person (catsosperson) | 1685 comments Arpit, I didn't like "A Farewell to Arms" at all.

I'm in no hurry too read anything else by EH.

Pink | 5491 comments Arpit wrote: "Is there any book that is more boring than A Farewell to Arms?"

Haha, I loved it, but can understand that you might find it boring. I'll just say it can be slow, which is a tricky thing to achieve with Hemingway's abrupt and to the point writing style!

It bored me to death.
Not going to pick anything else by EH in near future, but yeah, I'll read him some time.

Ohoh.. you liked it?
Well, yeah, it was very very very slowww....I didn't like anything about it. Short dialogues. Crazy characters. No detailing. I think it's for those who like to read "between-the-lines". I'm not one of them.
