The Three Musketeers by Alexander Dumas ★★★✩✩
The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas 700 pages (That are not introduction, etc)
Finished: December 31, 2015

For the first 200 pages "The Three Muskateers" is really slow going. It is hard to say if this is because I find it difficult to adjust to the antiquated language or if it is because the story is a little boring. Maybe both. However, D'Artagnan's first adventure from France to England in the first third of the book picks up the pace considerably and by the end of the book you really are on the edge of your seat to see what happens.

So, make sure you have a lot of time available when you read this one, but it is worth reading at least once in your life.

Stephanie | 55 comments I, Robot (Robot, #0.1) by Isaac Asimov 215 pages
Finished: January 7, 2016

I really enjoyed all of these stories, except for the very last one. I do not think I would accept robot overlords willingly and there was a ton of global political talk that I had a horrible time focusing on. Other than that it was great. It takes you into space and the future, so I don't quite know how to categorize it, but I think I will go with the future.

Stephanie | 55 comments Crome Yellow by Aldous Huxley 174 pages
Finished: January 10, 2016

This book was really great in parts and left a lot to be desired in others. The ending was particularly lacking as there was no ending. It kind of drives me crazy, because I really enjoyed the characters, but the ending had no resolution. I can't say I liked it because of that, but I did enjoy it. It's making me talk myself in circles. (England, Countryside)
