Ok, signups are closed! Barring computer or brain issues, I should have pairings and rules up soon! =P

Rules and signups are posted...everyone PLEASE double check that the shelf you're picking for matches the name on the list! I've already caught a couple of errors, and wouldn't be surprised if there are more. I definitely should be Dopey rather than Doc this week! =P

Hey Sassafrass! I get to return the awesome picks I got for December!! Or at least try to...

I'm in the middle of making my grandma's rolls for Christmas, but I'll come work on your picks when my legs and back are done! Hopefully that won't be until I'm done with the rolls, but it just might be a crap shoot!

We have a ton of books in common so I had to really dig deep to find some new to you choices. I hope you like your picks!

Grumpy: Disappearing Nightly by Laura Resnick was a refreshing change to a UF book where the heroine is human. I also liked that Red Hot Fury by Kasey MacKenzie twists the standard characters in UF for something a bit different.

Happy: The Spellman Files by Lisa Lutz is very different story and writing. It takes a bit to get used to the style (lots of notes and looks back) but is totally worth it. A great new YA UF series starts with Cold Burn of Magic by Jennifer Estep where a young thief saves some bluebloods and ends up being blackmailed into being their bodyguard.

Dopey: The Rocky Road to Romance by Janet Evanovich has quirky/naïve characters. I believe one character was the blueprint for grandmother in the Stephanie Plum books and I love what the hero does for his new dog. Flirting With Danger by Suzanne Enoch is a good story about a master thief and a billionaire.

Doc: I love this series and it doesn't get enough love (and has a few very smart characters) - Tempting Danger by Eileen Wilks. An interesting paranormal mystery series where the main character doesn't want to follow her destiny in Opal Fire by Barbra Annino

Sleepy: The Witness by Nora Roberts is a suspenseful story where a youthful mistake haunts the main character. A sweet and quirky small town romance with Fool for Love by Beth Ciotta

Sneezy: both these stories start with illness/injury. You've got a military man with amnesia in Forgotten Sins by Rebecca Zanetti. Or a women flies to a small town to rethink her engagement in The Gamble by Kristen Ashley

Bashful: Two cozy mysteries with animals. Kneading to Die by Liz Mugavero has a woman re-locating and finding a niche for homemade pet food/treats while solving the small town murder. Woof at the Door by Laura Morrigan has an animal behaviorist who can communicate with animals.

Snow White: Lumberjack in Love is a sweet romance by Penny Watson. I was very pleasantly surprised by The Deal by Elle Kennedy. The characters were refreshingly interesting and rose well above the clichéd plot.

I had a blast going through your shelves. I think for every one book I picked for you off your list, I must have added 2-3 on my own. LOL

[TBR] - Alex -- Alex definitely seems like a class a jerk in this book, but I just think he's misunderstood. This is a fantastic series, and I knew I was going to love it off of this book alone.
[NEW] - Written in Red --ok this is cheating, but the category says "red on the cover" and the word "Red" is on the cover. This series has been my breakout series of the year, and I loved this book. It's not romance in the truest sense, but the potential definitely piqued my interest. Even without romance though it's an amazing book and the whole series is phenomenal.



Happy
[TBR] - First Grave on the Right -- Charley Davidson...I have no idea what category to put her in, but this is a really funny series.
[NEW] - The Unidentified Redhead -- This one was recommended to me for POFM December, and I hooted throughout the whole book.



Dopey
[TBR] -- Kiss Me Like This -- Serena is definitely naive in a lot of ways. This was a departure for this author with the NA genre but it still had a lot of her signature style.
[NEW] - The Sweet Gum Tree -- Very sweet second chance romance story.



Doc
[TBR] - Magic Bites -- Technology or "The Tech" as they call it in this series is very important for many reasons. Fantastic series and I'm completely hooked on it.
[NEW] - Geek Girl -- the title couldn't have been more perfect for this category.



Sleepy
[TBR] - Twisted -- I haven't read this second book, but it's got a bed on the cover
[NEW] - Turn It Up -- these two end up spending A LOT of time in bed together. It was very hot!



Sneezy
[TBR] - Broken at Love -- I've had this one on my TBR for a while as well. He's recovering from an injury.
[NEW] - The Year We Fell Down -- LOVED this one. It was such a surprise. Just such a great story.



Bashful
[TBR] - Black Lies -- this one sounds GOOD! I added it to my TBR. I can't wait to find out what the big secret is!
[NEW] - Pretty Little Liars -- This series was my guilty pleasure of 2015. I loved to hate these characters and it seems that everyone is the whole book has a secret...or two



Snow White
[TBR] - Sweet Home -- definitely got a virginal heroine here. This was a cute NA romance and I liked the play on Romeo and Juliet.
[NEW] - The Deal -- I was surprised at how much I liked this one. It wasn't what I expected and that made me like it even more. And you can't get any more white than this cover!

New: First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones - Super fun & funny UF/Romance series - definitely on the snarky side

TBR: The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith - Sweeter more gentle humor than First Grave but it can put a smile on your face.

New: Exclusively Yours by Shannon Stacey - The Kowalski clan is so real and warm that this series is like visiting old friends.

TBR: The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan - Percy certainly starts this book off quite naive

New: Etiquette & Espionage by Gail Carriger - YA Speampunk set on a floating school with lots of cool gadets

TBR: The Martian by Andy Weir - A love letter to science penned by a foul mouthed astronaut botanist - one of my 5 star reads of 2014

New: Firelight by Kristen Callihan - I don't want to spoil the plot but the hero starts out in a mask to hide his face. A strong start to an unusual PNR series

TBR: The Rook by Daniel O'Malley - The protagonist wakes up with no memory of who she is - I'm eagerly awaiting the sequel

New: Naked in Death by J.D. Robb - Mystery, romance and character growth abound in this long running series.

TBR:Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris - The early Sookie Stackhouse books are so much fun and are equally mystery, romance & paranormal

Doc If you want smart and nerdy heroine, there is one in Neanderthal Seeks Human [TBR]

Sleepy Hot in Here is erotic romance, so they do spend a lot of time in bed. I picked it because it has wonderful food descriptions. (And based on your shelves you like yummy books). [NEW]

Sneezy Some would say I am stretching the topic a bit (again) but I don't care. I had to squeeze in Katie MacAlister somehow. And male MC does suffer. I mean, heroine nicknames him Yucky. :D It's All Greek to Me [NEW]

Bashful My favorite urban fantasy series and always has a good mystery plot too. Magic Bites [TBR]

Snow White A virginal character. A classic and nice one too. Tess of the D'Urbervilles [TBR]

NEW – Pretend You're Mine by Lucy Score – Some big issues tackled in this little romance and enough suffering to go around for all the characters, not just the main ones, while still managing to be a sweet romance as well.

We have a lot in common, but that (and your huge TBR) made doing new to you picks really hard! Every time I thought of something I was sure you’d really like, you had either already read it or it was on your TBR. I managed to find some though, so I hope there’s something that you find interesting!

TBR: Savor the Danger – I enjoy this series…need to get back to it someday!
New: Cut & Run – You have this on your TBR but have never read the author before…maybe it’s time for you to finally meet Ty & Zane! =P

TBR: Pack Challenge – This month’s FAC, and Shelly Laurenston is always funny.
New: Crazy Little Thing – Zany characters, cute kids and dogs, and a hot guy…just plain fun!

Dopey
TBR: Rock Hard – Another series I need to find my way back to.
New: The Sweet Gum Tree – This book has so many things about it that I normally don’t like, and yet I loved it and it just stays with me.

Doc
TBR: Overruled – I haven’t read this yet, but hope to soon…really enjoy the author.
New: Dark Protector – Very different PNR series with some unique world building and great characters

TBR: Tamed – Another one by Emma Chase…loved this series!
New: Heat Exchange – First book in a new series by Shannon Stacey, one of my favorite authors.

Sneezy
TBR: Kiss of Crimson – Love this series!
New: His Road Home – Wonderful tribute to wounded veterans, very emotional.

Bashful
TBR: Amaury's Hellion – I’ve had the first book in this series on my TBR forever – I really need to find a place for it in a challenge sometime soon!
New: Three to Ride – Another series I need to find time to get back to!

Snow White
TBR: Their Virgin Captive – I haven’t read this yet, but what I’ve read by Shayla Black I’ve enjoyed.
New: Enemies on Tap – Fun series with a lot of snark…I really enjoyed the author’s writing style

NEW - - This is my favorite book - Dragos is very intense and grumpy in the beginning as well

Grumpy - You could Call Mr Norrell Grumpy and the book has red on the cover , I read this book recently and really enjoyed it :)
