what are some of the resolutions y'all have for 2016?

Hi guys. Checking in.

I'm going to create a few resolutions.

1. Read at least one (can read more) nonfiction book each week about a new person.
2. Read more classics.
3. Start and finish popsugars 2015 and 2016 reading challenge
4. Start the Rory Gilmore challenge


These are for the whole year. Not just this month.

I say read as many physical books unread on your shelf that you can or finish any unread series that you have

My two resolutions are to read more contemporaries and historical fiction books. I tend to keep away from those, but I want to start reading more of them

One of my resolution for 2016 is to get my review pile down and read mostly just those books.

Hi team! :-)

Some of my resolutions for 2016 are to finish my unfinished series, read more classics, non-fiction and historical fiction and start and finish at least 6 series.

So everybody is checked in! I think now we should probably make our final decisions on out resolutions so everyone can start figuring out their tbr for January

I thought that we just mention our resolutions and than we can read off our own or use another team members? I did not think we had to choose from all of ours and just work on those.

You're right. What I was getting at is Drishti has more resolutions than the two we're allowed to make, as well as having one that's the same as one of mine. And Melanie only has one resolution at the moment. We need to finalize what all the resolutions are so I can put them in a list on the review thread so Abbie or Sarah can give us points when we start reading

As far as what I meant about the tbr's, I haven't decided what all I'm reading because I want to see what the other resolutions are so I have more options to work with before I decide for sure what I'm going to read next month

I was so close to putting down "finish the series I started", but since others have already listed that, I figured I didn't need to :)

I just purchased 4 classics and have 1 already on my shelf so I am gearing up!

1. Read books that I have owned for more than a year but not read yet
2. Read books that were published in the 20th Century

So for Lindsey's resolution for us to use those we just read a book from the Rory Gilmore challenge or read a book that matches a description for the Pop Sugar challenges? Maybe we should double check we'd be allowed to do that...

I think that she is going to complete the challenge so we have to read a book from it. I don't think there will be a problem but we can double check it!

I can ask but pretty much I'm only reading books on the list and ones that fit the description.

I asked and they work.

Here is how I worded them.

1. Books that fit the Rory Gilmore challenge
2. Books that fit Popsugars 2015 and 2016 reading challenges

that's what we thought but just wanted to be sure! What books are you planning to read from the Rory GIlmore Challenge? We can definitely do some buddy reads!

I don't know yet. Going to print it out later and go over it.

Trying to prepare for Christmas. But I want to go over it either tonight or sometime tomorrow.

Okay, I just wanted to clear up what we needed to do. That's quite diverse then so we shouldn't have trouble fitting in any books we want to read, fingers crossed! :)

Right!! I'm hoping we will be able to get a ton read in like the first two weeks for sure!

I'm getting a nice pile (I mean box) ready tonight of books I want to read.

I have no idea what books I wanna read either but, I do have a ton of series!

There's a book fair at my school tomorrow. And, I'm all set to raid the fair! *grins wickedly*

Awww snap lol I am going a couple readathons before the end of the year! One started today too so I gotta get to reading!

I am doing a read-a-thon, too. Starts on December 27. Super excited! It's gonna be my first.

which readathon is it?

It's taking place in another group (Crazy for Young Adult Books) and is a week long (ends on January 2).

anyone know of any buddy reads we could do? That gives us extra points!

When I get a chance to go through my books I will plan a few buddy reads.
