They spend a lot of time in her car, H gets things out of the trunk to line the windows and keep them insulated. They finally walk to a cabin and finally get rescued and the heroine goes with the hero to fins his sister.

The hero is a rancher. The heroine is traveling with the new baby to get away from the inlaws?

Neither of these are the one.Book was written in the 80's

The closest finds so far involve a pregnant heroine in a car... (Or Baby Love where the heroine has a newborn son and the hero is a rancher, but they're on a train.)

Yes contemporary, a Harlequin or Silhouette, older book.

It was very good, hoping to read it again.
