Sarah Lou and I are going to do a buddy read for The Maze Runner if anyone wants to join! We are looking to start reading in January 15,2016 :)

I am about half way done, so I definitely think I will finish on time :)

I'm currently reading The Kill Order by James Dashner. So good!

I should be able to finish it a couple days before the 15th

That is the prequel to it all correct?

Yes :) I think it's a good idea to read the prequel first as I might know how some things in the later books happen.

Maze Runner is in transit for me at my library :) I will have it in plenty of time to start reading!! Yay!

I think I plan on reading it as well but I know the author wrote it after the trilogy so I think I will read it last. Almost done with the book, kind of eager to see where the second book goes with the story.

Halfway through TKO and it's giving me nightmares :')

I'm quite looking forard to reading this. I've decided to wait until I finished the trilogy and then read the prequel. I quite like reading it that way and then going back to people's lives before the main story begins. Although sometimes it's nice to go chonologically too. But this time round I'll start with Maze Runner. I'm not sure I'd have enough time to read the prequel beforehand anyway.

Picked up my copy from the library today!! Now the 15th needs to hurry up and get here :)

Stopped by the library today and it's already checked out :( I've tried an ebook hold...will see how that goes!

Oh my God I totally recommend reading The Kill Order before you read The Maze Runner. I'm currently reading The Maze Runner right now because I wouldn't have time to read it on the 15th as I will be taking exams and I have just developed two theories based on what I've learnt from The Kill Order. Can't wait to share it with you guys!

I would also add that if you have read the prequel already, that you mark those spoilers if you reference it to this book.

I have one question, since I've never really done buddy read before (except maybe with my sister).

Being a buddy read means will be giving our opinion on the book throughout our reading, right?

Anyway, I wanted to read it so I have to be part of that ^^. I'll have one less book on my TBR list =)

Hi Mimi, yes that's it, we just talk about the book as we read it, what we think about the characters and story-line, whatever insterests you about the book. Favourite parts not so favourite parts etc. You can talk as little or as much as you like =]

I'm really looking forward to reading this. Is anyone else taking part in the Jurassic Park buddy read that starts tomoz too?

You're all good Stephanie. We all read the book, generally at the same time although some read quicker than others. People who've read it previously may also comment. As you read, discuss the story, characters, your reaction to the events etc in this thread making sure to mark your spoilers with what chapter you are on and use tge proper spoiler tags. Some people only comment at the end but personally i think it's more enjoyable to comment as you go. I hope you enjoy your first group buddy read Mimi.

I thought about it (in regards to Jurassic park) but have 3 other books going! Lol! Normally I do one book at a time but since I started working out on the elliptical I've been reading on my kindle. Too hard to read an actual book while exercising lol!! At least for me ;)

Haha, yes it is Stephanie, On a stationery bike perhaps but not sure it would be very easy at all on an elliptical lol. Good idea. Ah okay. No worries. I'll be doing both. But I'll be slow going.

Awesome Mimi. Yes it is nice to comment and read along. I find it easier or you have to go back through quite a lot to catch up.

Seems like the book is much better than the movie.

Yes it is :) I feel like the movie (from what I could remember) left out some good parts, plus the book has more action and humor and bonding

I started reading it this morning (chapter 2).
I feel like the movie (until now ^^) more or less follow the book :-).
At least compared to other movies like Percy Jackson; which didn't really follow the book.

When it comes to the characters, we're just meeting minho and the other gladers. So I don't have much to say right now ^^.

And since I'm also doing the hide and seek challenge and I had already started other books of my own, I'm not sure how fast I'll be reading it :-(. I feel like I might be over my head ^^.

Not too bad, very slow going, I keep getting distracted, so only in Chapter 3 somewhere.
