If you do decide to read Lux I am going to give you warning, Oblivion is Obsidian just different POV. I would not read them back to back. I read Obsidian awhile back and just barely read Oblivion so it wasn't bad for me, just a refresher but I already knew what was going to happen. I don't really see the point.

I just re-read/listened to An Ember in the Ashes, would you consider this to have demons, they talk about the different dark creatures. wraths, gin, red eyed guys (brain fart) Kane was one.

I can recommend all kinds of books. cross over books are great, because you don't have to have the paranormal creature as the main guy, just part of the story. So if you like Contemporary/new adult I would suggest The Law of Moses. It has a ghost/spirit side.
Aliens you might like the Lux series it starts with Obsidian
Zombies: I am not a fan of gore so I chose funny, Loved Living with the dead starts with Married with Zombies
Sandman slim fits in a bunch of categories and I am in the middle of that series, really like it. There are a few buddy reads going on too that would fit. Throne of glass, Nightmares! and Fever. Check them out.

I started a new series, by Molly Harper. Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs. If you don't like vamps or weres but like cheeky, sarcastic humor. I would recommend these books. I keep laughing at Jane, she is a great character.

So I listened/read all the books in 5 days. They were pretty good. Molly Harper is funny, not all gruesome. There is a spin off series that I am going to pick up next.

I already listened to the Werewolf series she wrote. They were fun. This sounds weird I know, but they make me think of cartoons. Like I can see this series as an adult animation. Light and fluffy.

I know you don't like vampires so this might work for you. I can't wait to see what you think.

I have really been into the angel/nephilim books recently. After reading Penryn and the End of Days series (which I LOVED), I was in search of another series similar to this one. I landed on The Rephaim series by Paula Weston and am currently on the first book Shadows. Only about 35% in, but I am enjoying it so far. Thought I'd throw it out there for anyone looking for a good angel book :)

I don't have anything with Gods, Goddesses, or Aliens. I am currently reading the Relentless series which seams to have just about every other creature out there though. I'd recommend it!

Brandy have you read the Elsker Saga? It popped up as a recommendation for me. One of the main characters is a Norse god. I think I may be giving that series a try next.
