Katie (katierebecca) I have read quite a lot of classics but seem to have gone without some of the most-loved. In 2016, I aim to change this.

1899 and earlier:
1. Northanger Abbey - Jane Austen, 1817
2. Frankenstein - Mary Shelley, 1818
3. The Tenant of Wildfell Hall - Anne Bronte, 1848

1900-1999
4. Mrs. Dalloway - Virginia Woolf, 1925
5. The Great Gatsby - F. Scott Fitzgerald, 1925
6. A Room with a View - E. M. Forster, 1908

My Wild Card Six
7. Rebecca - Daphne du Maurier, 1938
8. Goodbye to Berlin - Christopher Isherwood, 1939
9. The Handmaid's Tale - Margaret Atwood, 1985
10. Crime and Punishment - Fyodor Dostoyevsky, 1866
11. Alice in Wonderland - Lewis Carroll, 1865
12. The Quest for Christa T. - Christa Wolf, 1968

Alternates
A-1. Maurice - E. M. Forster, 1971
A-2. Dracula - Bram Stoker, 1897
