Hi there, I'm back.

We didn't have power for 2 days and the hotel we stayed at didn't have free wifi (and I was too cheap to pay $20 to play on GoodReads).

We have a big New Year's Eve party tomorrow, but then I should be checking back regularly.

2 of my GR resolutions:
- finish 10 series in 2016
- complete 6 lingering challenges

Hi Marla, Tiffany, sorry just seen this. So I'm new to this. Is there a specific book we read? or read my own as read some already this month? X

Hey Tiffany, sorry I've taken so long to check back, just FYI everyone, I work really long days on Mondays and Thursdays so I'm not usually on Goodreads.

Also, I'm not really the leader here, I just was the first one to look for our group links and they didn't exist, so I created them. (And I'm kind of a control freak, so you may not want to give me that kind of power.)

That being said, Fiona, I believe that we are supposed to read books that we feel (and you have to justify your reasoning) satisfy one of the resolutions listed by any one of our group members.

I'm sorry, people, I cannot believe that I haven't finished a book in 9 days, but I will probably finish 1 soon and I have 2 more in progress.

Yay, I finally finished a book. Sorry, I'm usually a much quicker reader.

What genres do you all normally like?

We do get an extra point if anyone does a buddy read. You get credit if you comment at least 3-4 times in an on-going buddy read in [YA Buddy Readers' Corner ♥] group and we can do one just among our group too.

hi marla i will sort out the links in a bit. ive read three books so far in january and one of them was a buddy read but i dont think the person i was readong about put anything on the thread :)

and the thread was for a buddy read in december but we only got chance to read it this month

A December read counts, but I think someone has to comment with you. (Which I didn't think was fair if your buddy didn't show up...but I guess some people might just comment to get points...)

I plan to get a lot done this weekend. I have a quite a bit to do for work but I hope to get as much reading done as I can

I am over halfway in 2 more books and have 2 quick reads that I'll start soon.

Then there's the 2 17 hour bus rides that I have next week...when I'm not sleeping, I expect to be reading. :D

I have finished a book which I was buddy reading with but my parter sprained her foot and hasn't been reading much lately shall i wait to see if she comments on the thread.

I would put it in as a Buddy Read and put the link on and write that on the bottom of your book description, then when your buddy comments, you can ask them for the buddy points

I decided to add my star ratings to my book review listings.

If any of your buddies show up before the end of the month and you comment with them, you can probably post the link and get the extra point. (I only have a 50% buddy read appearance...so wish me luck...I have 2 before the end of the month starting soon.)

added another book to our review thread which includes a buddy read so that's a few more points and I hope to add some more this weekend.

I'm back. We got snowed out in DC and came home early. I didn't hardly get any reading done on our 34 hour bus ride. It was too distracting and I felt guilty putting ear plugs in except when I was sleeping, since I was a chaperone.

Tiffany, how did you like Cinder? I thought it was a cute story!

I really liked it. I loved the scifi t twist on a fairytale and prince Kai and cinder were so cute. Definatley want to read the rest of the series.

I liked best so far, but I haven't read yet. I don't usually like retellings, but these were so clever.

I seriously need to carry on with the series so much

Me too...I'm reading like crazy, but I've got 137 pages in one book and 100 in another, so we'll see.

Just just finished mine.

We didn't do too badly...6th out of 11 teams and the team above us was only one point ahead. I usually read about 10 books and I only finished 8, and there was only 3 of us playing. I think we did just fine and I enjoyed chatting with all of you!
