Cait S Would this work for semi-truck?

"His headlights revealed the bottom of a flipped eighteen-wheeler, perhaps ten yards ahead."

It's a truck overturned on a highway. I had no idea semi truck would be this hard!

I know I would use it. An eighteen-wheeler is synonymous with 'semi truck'.

Cait S Thank you! I read the list at the beginning and thought this seemed like an easier round but it's proving tougher than I thought. I've still got six I have to find, one of which is probably going to be in a genre I don't like touching lol

I can't find Keep either.

message 73: by Paris (new)

Paris (pah13) | 4285 comments Ha! I read 4 books with the word keep in it before this list, of course I couldn't find it after this list started. I blame those books for keep being on the list.

Deb (chiana) | 792 comments Mod
Finding a keep is hard! There are really only a couple of genre's that are likely to have one - historical, or fantasy. I keep hoping I'll get lucky and find it in another.

message 75: by Cait S (new)

Cait S Keep is messing me up too. I absolutely hate historical books so it's proving practically impossible to find unless I want to suffer through something I can't stand.

Which I guess I will because I refuse to not finish lol

message 76: by Joann (last edited Mar 10, 2016 08:03AM) (new)

Joann I found keep in The Presence. It's not a historical book.
I think the story line is good, but I can't say I enjoyed it that much. I think Heather Graham's style just isn't for me. It's rated 3.97/5 so you may enjoy it though.
It's an old book that I found at my library when I was looking for a pink cover for another challenge. It was a nice surprise to find keep in it.

Cait S I have now tried and dropped FIVE books trying to find keep. I'm going to cry, I swear. This is the absolute worst word we have ever had.

Paris (pah13) | 4285 comments Cait, I'm so with you. That's the only word I have left and I am having no luck. I'm sorry I came up with it.

message 80: by Cait S (new)

Cait S I've gotten to where I am literally going book by book through my TBR and searching all the evenly vaguely historical or fantasy books for it. I always try not to do this because I enjoy just stumbling onto the words but this is an emergency lol

I'll let you know if I dig up any decent ones. Good luck <3 <3

Paris (pah13) | 4285 comments Thanks. I'll let you know too. The series I read before this was by Lauren Dane. The first book was Goddess with a Blade (Goddess With A Blade, #1) by Lauren Dane . I liked them all. And I'm pretty sure Keep was mentioned in all of them.

message 82: by Cait S (new)

Cait S I FINALLY found keep!!! The Falconer (The Falconer, #1) by Elizabeth May has it and is so far really awesome. Thank goodness!

Cait S Done!! Thank goodness. That round was SO HARD. But at least it kept me busy all three months lol See you in a week!

message 85: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl La Pa (cheryllp) | 92 comments I'm finished. See Message 14. That was fun!

I found them all except 'national park' and 'St Patrick's Day', which I will carry over to the next scavenger hunt.
