I couldn't let us get away without this mandatory thread. It'd be good to see what books we all enjoyed the most this last year, and if anyone has any recommendations or comments based on peoples favourite books.
I am presently enjoying A prayer for Owen Meany. I also loved Shadow of Wind and Housekeeper and Professor. I have read other Emma Donahue books, since reading Room and her books all seem very different but are excellently written. I have read lots of great thrillers this year, a trilogy by Pierre Le Maitre stand out for me, they are clever but not for the faint hearted, they are a little gruesome. Hard to narrow favourites down...☺

The Shadow of the Wind
Just a great story with great characters.
The Goblin Emperor
A vivid and brilliantly written political intrigue in a fantasy universe.
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
I'm not sure I have to justify this :)
The Housekeeper and the Professor
It was a really touching story that I couldn't put down.
Friday on My Mind: A Frieda Klein Novel (Book 5)
I've enjoyed most of this series, and this was the best one yet.
A Prayer for Owen Meany
My favourite book of 2015. I loved every moment.
The Demolished Man
Although I really enjoyed this, it's the only one on this list that's a borderline 5 star. Not entirely convinced by the twist nearly at the end. The actual end makes up for this though.
