BB (cptsweatpntz) | 11 comments Ok, I need some recommendations, please :) ... I LOVE books where the male lead is totally Alpha but doesn't have to be. I want him to want to take care of her and protect her but at the end of the day, she doesn't need it. Like Vampire Academy with Rose and Dimitri or Cat and Bones in The Night Huntress. I'm good with both YA and adult. I just don't handle a weak female character very well but if written the right way, I can tolerate it.

Robin (rockin_robin) | 81 comments Have you ever read My Wicked Enemy (My Immortals #1) by Carolyn Jewel . This is book one of her My Immortals Series. Each book features a different couple, but set within the same setting so the same characters appear throughout the books. I've read pretty much all of this series by Carolyn Jewel. They're different, interesting and well-written, in my opinion. The males are all demons and most of the women, if memory serves, are witches so they have power in their own right.

I have read Half-Blood and, although I did enjoy it, I preferred the Lux series. Thank you for your other recommendations. I don't think I see anything that I have read before!

Rebecca | 24 comments I'm so with you, Brittany! I work hard in my Fada Shapeshifter Series to make both the alpha male leads and their mates strong and caring, and I just love that reviewers have picked up on that. :)
If you like sexy PNR about shifters and fae, the series might be for you. The first two books are on KU through January, and all the books are priced at $3.99 or lower.
Seducing the Sun Fae (The Fada Shapeshifter Series, #1) by Rebecca Rivard Claiming Valeria (The Fada Shapeshifter Series, #2) by Rebecca Rivard Tempting the Dryad (The Fada Shapeshifter Series, #3) by Rebecca Rivard

Nicole Luckourt (nicole_luckourt) | 2 comments A Shade of Vampire What about this series? It's been a while since I read them, but from what I recall the lead female was strong and smart and the lead male (vampire) was def an alpha.
