Marla | 514 comments I just finished Grave Peril (The Dresden Files, #3) by Jim Butcher and it was good, but not great. But I really enjoy James Marsters narrating the audiobook!

I love the audio versions of these as well. I also love Harry Dresden. He just grows on you the more you read about him. I tried one of Jim Butcher's other series and I couldn't get into it. Maybe I wasn't in the mood because I really enjoy his writing.

Marla | 514 comments I didn't hear from my partner in March or April and I think something might have happened with her in real life. She had a bad February and hasn't been on GoodReads since March.

Does anyone else need a new partner?

Glad you all are enjoying this challenge and reading books you wouldn't normally and being quite surprised by how much you actually liked the choices. Keep it up, you are all doing well.

message 70: by Elsa (new)

Elsa Carrion (ecarrion) | 642 comments Marla selected What I Want by L.N. Cronk for my March selection.

Something I picked up for free, liked the cover and thought I give it a shot. Another great pick from my buddie, I really enjoyed it!

On to the next one.

Elsa Carrion (ecarrion) | 642 comments Just finished Words of an Angel by Savannah Rayne that Marla picked for my February selection.

This one was a little choppy. The story line was good but not sure I liked the tone.

Give this one 2 stars maybe 3.

Four down one to go.

You're all set up Marla. I have put up a thread under the Buddy Reads 2016. I would link it but I'm on my phone and haven't figured out how to do that yet, new phone. If you can't find it or want to change it let me know.

Elsa Carrion (ecarrion) | 642 comments Started reading All At Sea by Pepper Ellison this morning. Just finished.
What can I say about this story/text messages/emails.
Didn't work for me. There's scenes that are missing because they are together hanging out and we totally miss all those. It's like part of the story is missing. They try to talk about the time though the electronic messaging but it's still missing sections and we are left to guess. Nope not for me. Sorry Mrs. Pepper, didn't work for me.

Besides that, I wanted to punch both in the face!!! They wanted to have their cake and eat it too. Although I only feel sorry for his ex fiancé and not her current boy toy. He needed to be punched in the testicals

Have to give this one star
On to the next one

Elsa Carrion (ecarrion) | 642 comments Marla pick for me for June: Eye of the Storm (Security Specialists International, #1) by Monette Michaels finished it and gave it 3 stars.

Not a great beginning, little above average middle, not a great ending.

I loved the main lead female when she was a kick ass female, didn't like her so much when she would act like a wimpy babbling female
