Here you can nominate any word that is proudly South African for us to read in August.

Eastofoz Is "stoep" the South African word for something like a plateau-like cliff where you have an incredible view? In the Wilbur Smith books I've read there was a word that was something like that and it took me forever to figure out what it meant (lol!) Of course now I can't remember the word exactly :-/

What does "zuma" mean? I thought it was a guy's first name actually (lol!)

hehe well "stoep" is basically a porch :) So yea some porches have a good view.

Zuma is the name of our current president, so you were right :)

So you nominating "stoep"?

Eastofoz Well seeing it's the only "unique" SA word I know (lol!) I'll stick with "stoep" (lol!)
