Do you have any goals or reading wish lists for 2016? Let's talk about it!

Carolyn F. I read above my goal slightly so I think I'll say the same # just in case - so 200 books for 2016. Do you know when they're going to list the 2016 challenge?

Andrea Jackson (paperbackdiva) | 181 comments I have a few organized challenges, some in groups, some personal.

my annual Dangerous Heroes challenge
an A-Z challenge using titles of any genre book
I want to diversify my reading so I'm doing an Authors of Color challenge, which includes books of any genre.
And there's a genre busting challenge
I have an ongoing challenge for myself for Big Books with more than 400 pages.-
Also for myself, I like to keep track of how many books I re-read each year.

As for specific books, there are some series that I anxiously await.

My life has gotten very busy, so I don't have as much time for reading. I didn't meet my goal last year. I signed up for 250, but I only read 203, so I'm going to go down to 250.

I'm going to continue to try to read some of my favorite authors more. I'll read new authors that seem appealing as well.

Netanella | 195 comments I always start the year with a goal that I want to complete or finish series that I've started. So I make my lists, mark up a couple of "stacking the series" challenges, get through a few books, hit a dud or two, and then realize how short life is to force yourself to read crappy books just because you have a compulsion to finish a series off....

And then....

And then along comes a series, where you forced yourself to continue (through a pile of poopie-writing), and the next book is really, really good. (Kinley MacGregor's MacAllisters/Dark Brotherhood comes to mind here.)

And then, I tell myself, "Self, I am so glad you decided to continue reading this series. Because that was a really good book."

:)

My main reading goal is to attempt getting some of my paperbacks that I've had a while read. So easy to pick up my kindle but I need to read those books I've had a long time.

I feel you. I read my Kindle in bed out of laziness. But I still love my paper books.

Oh I love that Kinley MacGregor series. I wish she'd get back to it. It's great when you fall in love with a series.

Anne | 85 comments So I set my book number to 100. But I think my real goal this year is to try and diversify what I read. I am a heavy smut reader, but looking back I only read one historical. Only a small handful of PNR. Everything was contemporary and NA. I guess if I don't commonly read a genre, I don't know where to start, so I might be looking for help this year!

Netanella | 195 comments Anne, there's some really good historical smut out there, if you want to diversify. try Kate Pearce or Jess Michaels, if you want some recs...
