Rozanne Visagie (rozannevisagie) On Sunday I bought "A Game of Thrones by George R.R Martin". Its in a series of 3 books, can't remember them now. But can't wait to start reading!

Travis (travistousant) | 6011 comments There is a buddy read for Golem already set up some where I believe. I still seem to be the only one who hated that book

Thanks for the reminder of the previous buddy read, Travis. Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy it. I know a couple of people who read it and didn't like it either.

Janice (jamasc) | 59964 comments My audiobook version is spelled "Jinni"

The Golem and the Jinni
The Golem and the Djinni

Both versions are listed in the database.

Janice (jamasc) | 59964 comments For the toppler, I used an Audible credit and downloaded Bloodsucking Fiends. I had some time to kill before the toppler started so I browsed through the Kindle Monthly Deals. Bad idea!

I had In the Blood on my wishlist and it was $1.99. So I got it and 3 more of the series for $1.99 each:
To the Grave
The Last Queen of England
The Lost Empress

And just because I was so grossed out by Seed, I picked up another one of her books, Within These Walls

Kristie | 19192 comments I just picked up the audio of The Murder at the Vicarage. I now have a few Agatha Christie's. Hopefully, one of them will win for BOTM. This one hasn't been nominated, but a couple people have said that Miss Marple is their favorite (someone in the nomination thread, I think mentioned it too) and I picked it up because it is the first in that series.

I loved Bloodsucking fiends. Moore is on of my guilty pleasures. I am almost embarrassed at the loud guffaws I make when I read his books

message 448: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59964 comments I'll certainly read more of Moore. :)

message 449: by Janice, Moderator (new)
