Joshua I just began reading Foe simply becasue it was the only book I had access to upon finishing Things by Geroges Perec. I'm about to finish the first chapter of Foe and just came to the computer to look at the reviews availible on GoodReads. Basically, the reviews have led me to ask all of you who have read Foe a question - Should I even read Foe if I have not yet read Defoe's 'Robinson Crusoe?'

Apokripos (apokalypse) I think better start with Robinson Crusoe first, since part of it is the subject of the novel... methinks...

Chel | 380 comments I would very strongly recommend reading Robinson Crusoe first, otherwise points in the book will make less sense. Also, I did not find Foe worth reading by the way and I have found 9 of each 10 books on this list worth reading.
