2025 Reading Challenge discussion

This thread is to discuss Jeffrey Eugenides's book, Middlesex.

I am about 100 pages into this book so far and am enjoying it a lot so far! I've also read The Marriage Plot and I didn't really love that. I've heard that most people either really like The Marriage Plot or love Middlesex. I think I will be one of the latter.

I absolutely loved this book, it's one of my all time favourites. I read his books in order, and I agree, The Marriage Plot is nowhere near the same standard as Middlesex. I hope you continue to enjoy it.

I've finished part 1 now and it is every enjoyable so far. It's not what I was expecting but I like historical fiction so I'm finding it interesting to read about his grandparents' lives in the 1920s.

I actually finished the book a couple of days ago. Once I got through Book 1 I was seriously invested and flew through the rest of it.
