OMG! Not the Zombies! follows a co-ed group of teen Scouts from when they find an ancient stone axe and accidentally unleash the zombie virus, through all their efforts to save the world, or at least any survivors they come across. At the end of this book, they are trying to find the CDC to bring them an immune person and all the stuff from the cave (the axe, Patient Zero, etc.).
Truck drivers also play a big role in keeping the survivors safe.
I set out to write a book where anyone can imagine themselves as the hero(ine) of the story, so there isn't a single word of description, not even a last name or gender.
I didn't set out to write a diverse book, but that's the world I see. Set in Arizona, I'm not really sure how there could NOT be Latino characters. There are also Asian, black, white, Indian (Navajo) and mixed characters.
