Richard Sharp (richardsharp) | 2 comments I'v been hoping to see discussions started in this group. Finding none, I'm offering my novel of the 1960s-1970s, Crystal Ships, as a kick-off topic. The title is a metaphor for the fragile idealism of the Sixties and a reference to the classic Jim Morrison hit for The Doors and the legend that inspired it.

The novel is a saga of several friends who were young adults in 1960 and lived through the turbulent Sixties and and on through the end of the Vietnam War in the 1970s. It has received rave reviews for immersing the reader in the music, literature, social change and political and military crises of that era. It may be a good vehicle to start debate on the times that gave birth to classic rock.

The novel ia available in paperback and Kindle on Amazon. I am willing to gift a limited number of Kindle versions to jump-start the discussion.

Craig (bluenazz) | 3 comments Thank you for the recommendation! It sounds like it may be a very good book that I could relate to as I was there in the 60's!

Hello Richard, Thanks for that offer but I don't have an electronic book reader. And here in Canada, Kindles are not compatible with Canadian libraries. It's weird (:->
