Lieke | 1723 comments Reading A Game of Thrones isn't going very fast during my holiday, so I decided to start a new book The Trouble With Valentine's Day by Rachel Gibson. This is going a lot faster I'm already halfway :)

Tracey (trakka) | 1363 comments I know what you mean Lieke! I have taken a break from A Game of Thrones.

message 4: by Laura (new)

Laura I love Rachel Gibson, haven't read this one though.

message 5: by Lieke (new)

Lieke | 1723 comments And I finished The Trouble with Valentine's Day.
I liked it a lot and I can't wait to read the other two books in the series. Just have to buy them first :)

@ Tracey - I just need to be a little more concentrated I think. But I'm doing a road trip and I'm tired in the evening from the traveling and sightseeing.
I choose this book because I thought I didn't need to concentrate so much on a book I already have read....

Tracey (trakka) | 1363 comments It's quite an intense book! I didn't realise how much I had forgotten. Your road trip sounds interesting- have fun!

message 7: by Lieke (new)

Lieke | 1723 comments I finished Kiss by Jill Mansell.
Read most of the book last year but didn't manage to finish it before my vacation. I came back today and finished it (while fighting my jet lag).

message 8: by Lieke (new)

Lieke | 1723 comments Today I had time on the train to read.
Because of my jet lag I brought two easy books to read: Fantastic Mr. Fox and James and the Giant Peach both by Roald Dahl.
I already read them as a child in Dutch, but now read them in English. Both are still great books :)

message 9: by Tracey (new)

Tracey (trakka) | 1363 comments Oh I love Roald Dahl. I had so much fun rereading and also reading some for the first time to my daughters....

message 10: by Lieke (new)

Lieke | 1723 comments Only 40 pages left of Game of thrones.
Since I have a lot of time in the train I brought Harry Potter 4 along and I hope to finish Game of Thrones tonight.

Yay! Good luck.

message 12: by Lieke (new)

Lieke | 1723 comments And I finished rereading A Game of Thrones still a very good book. I just didn't want to read it at certain points because I knew what was going to happen and I didn't want that to happen ;)

message 13: by Tracey (new)

Tracey (trakka) | 1363 comments Ha, yes I know what you mean!

message 14: by Lieke (new)

Lieke | 1723 comments I finished Harry Potter och den flammande bägaren (HP 4) since it was so heavy I changed my train book two days ago and I'm now halfway in Dracula. Time to start making my plan for Februari :)

message 15: by Lieke (new)

Lieke | 1723 comments I finished A Slip under the Microscope by H.G. Wells this morning, two short stories. I expected science fiction stories so not sure yet what to think of the stories. They where not bad but different from what I expected.

message 16: by Lieke (new)

Lieke | 1723 comments And I finished Dracula, a bit different then expected but I liked it, although the ending was a bit to quick.
I haven't decided what to read next....

Lieke | 1723 comments It was raining today and I have a cold, so a perfect day for reading on the couch. I finished Going Dutch by Katie Fforde, a fun and easy read.
