Here's a link to the Pride and Prejudice discussions https://www.goodreads.com/group/comme...

Great :-) March would probably be the earliest I could manage it as well and there is also a buddy read of The Count of Monte Christo tentitively planned for May and I don't want to be reading both of those at the same time but we can finalise the timing later. I just wanted to gage if there was still any interest.

March would be fine, but I'm flexible..."
Great, the more merrier :-)

Great, when we firm up a date hopefully you'll have time to join :-)

I'm glad you're enjoying the Edith Grossman translation as that is the one I bought. I did a bit of research on the internet before and heard it was good but hadn't talked to anyone I knew who had physically read it.

Shout out to Edith Grossman! I tried Don Q. multiple times with older translations and never got through it. Grossman's translation is the one that taught me to love Cervantes. Also, the footnotes are excellent.

Hi Brina. I'd be interested in reading that book. When were you thinking of starting it?

I'm in for the Scarlet Pimpernel too.

Next month sounds good to me! I'm looking forward to it :)

Finally got my copy today and read the front matter. It's something else. Put me down for starting this book immediately and finishing it never. It looks like a book that will choose its own time.

Finally got my copy..."
I've got a friend of mine who lives in San Francisco bringing me a copy across the Pond when she comes to visit at New Year (it's quite difficult/expensive to get hold of in the UK) - can't wait to get it in my grubby little mitts! :oD

It was done as a group read before so there is a thread, but it would be more fun to do with other people.

Cool. It seemed to generate interest well enough in the nominations thread, just not enough for the polls so I hoped there would be interest in a BR.
When in the month would work better for you early or mid? We can always adjust the closer we get, but a plan might get more people involved.

Beginning of the month sounds good to me :)

Thanks, Loretta :)
Feel free to chime in on discussions!

That works for me.

Great!

Agreed! :)

Good!
Sounds like we should have a good group for this!

How about Darconvile's Cat? Le Mort d'Arthur? Don Quixote? A Tale of two Cities? War and Peace?
Sorry if I'm losing track, but I can't see any definite plans or dates for these at the moment. We can decide a timeframe later, but just give me a shout if you want anything else added now!

Yes, please add The Maltese Falcon to the list for February, Pink.
Thanks!
I think for Le Morte d'Arthur: King Arthur and the Legends of the Round Table we are currently leaning towards later March.

I'd like to join in on a Buddy Read for Le Morte d'Arthur: King Arthur and the Legends of the Round Table. March works for me.

Great! The more the merrier.
Paula W was the one to bring it up. She's doing War & Peace in February, which is why late March is our tentative plan for this one.

It sounds like Paula W wants to start War and Peace in Feb, does this suit other people, or do those interested want a later start? The threads are already there anyway (I'm currently reading and commenting as I go) so you can read it whenever it suits you. I won't include it on the buddy read list until I know a definite month to put it under.

will keep you informed... ;o)

Since its fairly short, would there be interest in doing it as a buddy read?
