I’d be interested Carolien, it’s in my Challenge and I keep voting for it without success

I´d wanted to read it for long, but don´t manage this month - couldn´t say which month would be better though - perhaps summer. ;) But don´t let you keep from reading it now! :)

Is there still interest in reading this together? I'm willing, if you are. I think it's going to be a great read. It won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1950.

I'm still in Shirley! I'll need to start in the 2nd half of the month though.

Sounds great, Sue! I look forward to reading this together.

I'm currently listening to the Audible reading with Alan Cummings & Co which is quite good. I also just picked up an annotated copy of the book. Looking forward to this buddy read whenever we can make it happen.

I also put it in the Buddy Read Schedule for you

I'd like to join. I read The Big Sky in 2017 and have had The Way West on my tbr since then.

Thanks for the thread, Katy :)
Glad to see you joining us, Tara, and I'm sorry to hear that your schedule is already full, Michaela and Natalie.

I'm going to try to read The Big Sky at the end of this month if I can fit it in, but I'm not going to worry if I don't. Glad you will join us Marilyn!

Yay! I'm so glad this will work for you too Sara.

So glad you'll be joining us, Marilyn! I've been wanting to read The Way West for quite a while. It's nice to know that you have already read the sequel. I'm sure you will have lots of insight to share!

So happy you'll be joining us, Sara! I look forward to reading this one together.

Can you create a Buddy Read thread from April 15 - May 31 for The Way West by A.B. Guthrie Jr.?
Thank you!

Sue... I've asked for a Buddy Read from April 15 - May 31 to accommodate you and anyone else for whom an extended schedule works better. I may even start a little earlier myself, if I see May is going to be a busy month. So glad you'll be joining in!

You're welcome.

You're welcome.

Thank you Shirley and Lynn!

Hi Lilly! I joined the book club today, and I'm glad to have found that Dracula, which I've been meaning to read for some time now, will be read this month by some of you.
As I said before, I'm new so I'm not really sure how this "buddy read" works. Do we read at our own pace, or do we have some deadlines set up before? I'd love to join you if it's ok!

We have a general time frame in which we are planning to read, but as always your pace and how long you take to read the book is up to you. So no worries. Just go to the thread and join the discussion whenever you feel like it. :)
Just like the other threads, Liesl, no obligations. :) The request thread is just to help us find other people who are interested in reading along, and to coordinate.

Natalie, I see myself finishing this in around a month, which is hardly going to be the case for most folks. Two to three months would be a bette..."
I would also like to join The Decameron group. Thank you Aubrey,

Thank you very much, Lilly! Great, I'll start reading it ASAP :)

Liesl I want to add to the reponse you received earlier. Any thread remains open and available to join, this includes Buddy Reads. The purpose of Buddy Reads is to read in a group a book that has not won a monthly poll. It is not meant to exclude anyone. : )

I read it in December- good book. Maybe you know there is a movie of it coming out. I just checked and it has good reviews from movie critics.
A group of us are planning to read A View of the Harbour by Elizabeth Taylor (not the screen star). We will be reading in July. Just letting others know in case they would like to plan to join in.

I'll join in based on your review that I have just read. It's a new author to me.
