Jim | 21811 comments I filled it in but had problems
In question 3, I had to rate things in order I liked them but hadn't heard of any of them, and in question 6 where it offered colour schemes, I just got identical icons saying that it hadn't downloaded the image.
That might be a hint to choose something that can work for people with slow broadband speeds, I don't know

David Manuel | 1112 comments Filled it in but I couldn't view the color schemes either. I do have high speed broadband, but maybe my 11-year-old processor is the culprit.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I was able to see the colour schemes, but I have good broadband and a fairly new laptop.

Same problem as Jim with one of the qestions so I just skipped it.

Now that's just gloating! :-)

Pam Baddeley | 3334 comments not boasting ;-) but did it on a tablet and the pictures were quite small on there - no technical issues anyway.

Jim | 21811 comments well it's flagged up one problem, you have to have a website that works on phones, tablets, desk top machines and with every sort of broadband down below 1meg

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments I didn't care for any of the colour scheme choices so I chose the one I disliked the least.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Don't know if you're aware of this group, Stacey.

Will give you a great overview of the problems encountered by users in goodreads.

I'd expect the other book sites would have the same sort of feedback areas.

Will Once (willonce) | 3772 comments Just done. The colour schemes didn't seem that different from each other, but I was able to express a preference.

One thought occurs. When it comes to a book review site, it can make a lot of difference if the user is a reader only or a reader and writer. Writers are looking for book review sites to help promote their books, but it's a balance. Too much writer stuff turns readers off (and rightly so).

GR has features solely for writers and it also maintains a separation from writers by having parts of the website where writers can't market. That's an important feature for me. I like having somewhere to sell but also somewhere to go where no-one is going to sell me anything. Usually.

Good luck with your project. Sounds interesting.
