I have updated my list. I have just finished The Hobbit as per our January reading list. I've read it a few times before but I enjoy it so much I had no problem picking it up again! I've put it down as my Classic from School! G4.

I downloaded the picture from the main topic and edited it in Photoshop then uploaded it to Imgur.

The code to put the picture is <*img src="hyperlink to picture"/*> without the asterisks. Once you upload it to Imgur.com it will give you a direct link to your picture!

Okay, now how did you get the check marks onto the image? Please.

Well I used Photoshop but you can also use Paint if you don't have Photoshop.

1) Open the picture in Paint
2) At the top you'll see a big letter A, click that.
3) Just to the left of the letter A, you'll see a drop down list. Look for the text "Windings."
4) Click on the picture near where you want to put the check box and drag up, you'll see a box start opening up.
5) Position that box roughly where you want your check mark to be.
6) Hold down the ALT key and press the numbers 0252 on your keypad.
7) Click anywhere outside the box you just created and you'll have your check mark!

If you want to adjust the check mark after you've added it then look for the big box at the top of Paint that says "Select", single click near the check mark and go up and to the right to surround it (making sure you don't put anything other than the check mark inside your little box) Put your cursor in the middle of your box, single click and drag it wherever you want it!

It is really quite amazing that you have figured all of this out. Thanks so much for taking the time to type it out in such helpful, easy to follow steps - I really appreciate it. It may take me a little while to get the time to sit down long enough to follow them through but I will endeavor to do just that. Thanks again for your help and have a great Bingo Challenge!

I'm on South Africa right now looking for a Classic of Africa. my sister in law has recommended Cry The Beloved Country Alan Paton. Do we think this might fit?

It is set in South Africa, so that counts.
