Elke Sisco | 33 comments I just googled "books about customer service agents" and found this list of "10 must-read books for anyone who does customer service", and the #9 entry, "Anything You Want" by Derek Sivers, says: "This short book is full of stories about how Sivers built the company, and how they won through awesome customer service."

(I also work in customer service, so I might just pick this one too.)

Melody | 208 comments I work in client services, which is similar, and I was thinking of using Version Control by Dexter Palmer, which is released next month. According to the blurb, the female protagonist is a customer service rep for an online dating site.

I'm also reading Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom by Cory Doctorow (which I might use for this prompt if I don't like Version Control since I used to work at Disneyland). The main characters of the novel are Disney Cast Members, which is similar to customer service in some ways.

Tara Bates | 1008 comments The movie is, but there is the book Julie and Julia which is about her story so that was the book I was thinking. The Julia child part of the movie isn't so much in the book but that's not important if you want the protagonist to be a csr... Because that was Julie :)
