Hey, if you're gonna be a captain, this is the game to do it. It's pretty low-maintenance! Although, I will admit I won't be rolling until Friday morning since I usually can't stay up until midnight on a work night!

Review: I have no words. This book was amazing. The character growth, the writing... just everything was just right. So many things happened in the span of almost two years! I didn't like Tatiana before she met Alexander but she quickly grew up and was the most unselfish character I have ever read about. Tatiana and Alexander kept missing the moment to be together or they always thought about other people before themselves. I loved the way both always defended each other and would give anything just for the other to be safe.
I didn't really like Tatiana's family, like at all. Even though I almost hated Dasha, it was still heartbreaking at her end.
I'm not even going to comment about Dimitri because if it wasn't him... anyway.
Overall, I absolutely loved this book and the writing. I think I am going to take a break from all the heartache that comes with this story!

All I did was talk to her on the phone, man. page 80

I thought this was a great zombie book. A group of friends often get together in a cemetary and just discuss all the different types of zombies there have been in movies. Then, lo and behold, a missing chinese shuttle falls into their town and BAMM! Zombie outbreak. The part at the end with patient zero was way out there and I wish it was explained a bit more, but it was a better B-rated book than I was expecting

Hubby is working crazy hours cause of the holiday weekend so I just sat on my butt all weekend and had my kindle read to me. Usually I'm a 1-2 books a week person but I just did 2 this weekend :D

I read book 2, and didn't love it as much as book 1, but it was good. I had yet to read book 3 which I will soon

Book: Wickedly Powerful by Deborah Blake

Wickedly Powerful was a great entry in the Baba Yaga series. I enjoyed Bella and Deborah Blake was very successful in making her standout from the previous Baba Yagas, Barbara and Beka. While I liked all the other new characters in the book, mainly Koshka, Jazz, and Sam, I did feel like there were a few too many POVs outside of Bella's. The addition of bad witch Brenna and the Riders helped to flesh out outside events, but took away from Bella's development somewhat. The main conflict in this book began in book #1 and is finally wrapped up here, but I actually enjoyed the Bella-centric plots more, especially her developing relationships with Jazz and Sam. Overall, I felt like this was a very good entry in the series and I did connect with Bella a little more than Beka in the previous book.

Review: I chose the audio version of this book since I wanted a little brain candy on my commute. Sometimes, too much candy can be a bad thing. Becky Brandon is such a nut job, I am amazed that her husband Luke manages to stay sane while married to her. In this installment of the Shopaholic series, Luke, Becky and their little daughter Minnie are living in Los Angeles while Luke takes on a celebrity client. Becky decides she wants to be a stylist to the stars, so she concocts crazy schemes to help her achieve that goal. She and her friend Suze, who is married to the ultra-wealthy and titled Tarquin, manage to become extras on a movie set, where Becky proceeds to eat the props (cake) and tell the director how to make the scenes better. Becky’s old rival, Alicia “bitch face long legs,” coincidentally turns up in Los Angeles. Her daughter is even in the same preschool as Minnie (really?). She is seemingly reformed and wanting to be a friend. But is she? The book ends on a cliffhanger so of course there will be a #8 on the way. I’m giving this 3 stars because there are actually some very funny lines/moments in the implausible story.

Review: I think this is my favorite in the series so far or at least one of the best. The thing I liked the most was Tempe's attitude. In the previous books I have felt as if Tempe believed no one was able to do their jobs as well as she believed they should be done and then she would try to do their jobs for them. In this one she consulted with different people. She let them do their jobs. I found it to found it somewhat refreshing.
