Well there was a fair bit of background all right, but it didn't bother me.

Well I tried to keep it as seen through the eyes of Tallis

Told as he is sitting in a comfortable chair with a bottle of good wine and a circle of admiring listeners.

I struggle to picture Tallis roasting hotdogs on a campfire, even though I'm sure he has done his share of that.

yes I've hopefully fixed it. I was trying to be too clever, using a dropped Cap for the first letter and it came out a right bog

because the dropped cap was sort of important in the story, I thought I'd make a special effort and try and get it in, but it just screws things up in so many different ways you wouldn't believe!

I probably would have been more comfortable in a sedan chair yesterday rather than a full Service Longus flight (that's what automeddle made out of Aer Lingus).

Might even have been faster if you'd tipped your chairmen :-)
