Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I thought you might not like that idea. :)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Not even worth considering.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Corset it is then...

message 104: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Surgery.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Scalpels

Jim | 21809 comments Remember these ladies are to be charming. Some claim that ladies with a fuller figure are indeed more charming

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments In that case I must be overwhelmingly charming.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments So that's what ten blade is, eh?

Hawkeye in MASH was always shouting for one.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments That no. 12 looks pretty nasty!

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Of interest to Tallis

message 113: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21809 comments I'm not sure whether Tallis is keen on wines described as 'chewy' to be honest. He muttered something about it being embarrassing to get the bits caught in your teeth
But a fascinating article none the less :-)

message 114: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments I probably shouldn't have posted the 'A' word, though.

message 115: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21809 comments delicate?

message 116: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments That country isn't well regarded by the govt here.

message 117: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21809 comments No, I should imagine not.
Few peoples seem to have so many historic enemies who still manage to hate them. It speaks highly of their misspent youth ;-)

message 118: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21809 comments Tallis felt he might as well get a word in edgeways

Irrational hate from a previous age
Lurks in the bowels like gratuitous rage
Seethes and coalesces
As sanctified bile
As they bellow their grievances
Nursed for a while

Bitter and caustic
It twists and decays
The dreams of the children
On the brightest of days

Brings death and destruction
Wanton and fey
A hallowed construction
Of worshiped decay

message 119: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Well said.

message 120: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21809 comments He has a way with words does old Tallis

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Give him some wine.

message 122: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21809 comments but not the chewy stuff!

message 123: by Gingerlily - The Full Wild (last edited Feb 07, 2016 08:52AM) (new)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments No. Wine should not be chewy. If it is then something has gone badly wrong.

Wine GUMS should be chewy.

message 124: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21809 comments Apparently the stuff Patti mentioned is 'chewy'
Obviously I'm not blaming her personally, but still....
I think Tallis would be forced to comment if one of his patrons started serving 'chewy' wine.
It's as bad as being able to see the tramlines!

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments Wine might be chewy if the butler has inexpertly removed the cork. In which case he should be dismissed, without a reference, immediately.

message 126: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21809 comments Sadly now one cannot get the staff.
In the days of my youth a respectable family would have a Sommelier, a butler, two minstrel maids and a travelling flagellant

message 127: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Something tells me you may have a visit from Will Once.

message 128: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21809 comments as the travelling flagellant?

message 129: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments He seems rather fascinated by the process.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I'm not entirely sure what a flagellant is. Is it someone who moves around by waving tentacles around? Or am I thinking of flagella?

message 131: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Google it, GL.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Patti (baconater) wrote: "Google it, GL."

No. I don't trust you.

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments It's a type of bean, I'm pretty sure

message 134: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Yeah GL. It's a bean.

Google it.

message 136: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21809 comments Needless to say it's not the sort of entertainment that your well adjusted poet gets involved in.

No, it's not

message 140: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments No worries.

I'll just sit here patiently, hoping for a cookie.

message 142: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Bacon cookies! Yay!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments They look a lot like Percy Pigs.

message 146: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21809 comments good grief, turn my back and what does she try serving people, latex cookies

message 147: by Gingerlily - The Full Wild (last edited Feb 09, 2016 09:10AM) (new)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Are these better?

message 148: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21809 comments far better

almost in good taste

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments I like how they are served on a plate of shredded lettuce. A nod to healthy living

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Is that lettuce? I thought it was crepe paper.
