"Smart." Alen said with a nod. He was actually impressed, and it was hard to impress him. "I think I'll take you up on that offer. However, I have one last question." He looked straight at Jewel. "Are we required to stay around? I am use to being on my own."

"Not really. I'm hardly ever here except for when I bring in Mythicals and to let the clan that their deputy hasn't abandoned them." Jewel smiled her most charming smile. "And when I bring in new members."

"Great. I guess I'll do it then. Especially if it means I get to get rid of Mythicals." He smiled, but quickly straightened his features. Don't be such a fool! Alen thought. But he couldn't help it. It felt good to smile again. No, it did not. Now shut up, you annoying brain...

"You know, you should smile more often. You look very nice when you smile," Jewel said matter of factly.

Alen raised an eyebrow. "I prefer to keep my emotions to myself, and a smile is a reaction to happiness and satisfaction." He looked around, trying not to look at Jewel again.

"So you're happy and satisfied with your decision then?" Jewel asked, grinning.

"Yes, yes I am." Alen replied.

Jewel's grin widen and turned more sincere. "Well I am too."

Alen cleared his throat. "I am glad to here that." He looked at the floor. "I should probably get back to my camp, unless there is a reason for me to stay?" Alen asked, looking up.

"I suppose you can go back. Though I'm sure later I'll remember some crucial thing I forgot to tell you. But that will give me the excuse to come see you." Jewel froze, then added, "To make sure you didn't get hurt or something... Cause you're my second in command. The Trapper's second in command." WHAT IS YOUR DEAL WHY ARE YOU STILL DOING THIS!? "Heh..."

"Great. Yep...." Alen shuffled his feet. "Cool. yep... Ok...." He started walking backwards, trying not to look at Jewel. Oh, loosen up you big old bafoon... Alen thought. Well, sort of. He didn't know where that came from. "Great. Only because I'm your Trapper. I mean, the Trapper. That's second. That's me. Yep. No other reason.... heh...." And, ladies and gentleman, girls and boys, the moment you've been waiting for has finally arrived! Alen blushed. In front of Jewel. AND THERE WAS NO WAY FOR HIM TO HIDE IT!!!!!

Jewel saw the blush, and blushed herself. "Um... Okay..." she said, her defensive wall of sarcastic mockery shattering to pieces. She laughed nervously. "Yeah... Um... Okay..." You know what, whatever you can figure out how to work this to your advantage, thought the less totally-freaking-in-love part of Jewel. "Okay bye have a nice face! Day! I mean day! I meant have a nice day!" she rushed, blushing a deeper red.

"Yep, you too. You know the day, not the face. Well. Yah. Um. Oh, screw this." Alen said, running a hand over his face and leaning against the wall. He groaned, not knowing what to say. Well, he knew what he wanted to say, alright, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. "Blah..."

Jewel giggled nervously. "Um. Yeah... Okay. Well...." You are a pathetic excuse for an elf.

Alen took a deep breath and held it for a second before letting it out. "This is pretty much a useless waste of time. Nothing's gonna happen." Alen said, mostly to himself. You and your stupid emotions. Why'd you get yourself into this? He glanced at Jewel, not really knowing what to do.

"Yeah. Right." Jewel nodded in agreement. "Kay. See you later then I guess."

"Yep." And with that Alen quickly existed the room and ran towards the forest. Stupid, stupid, stupid! Alen thought, hitting his head when he was halfway through the camp. Why are you such and idiot?! Alen stopped running. Maybe he could go back. No. That was stupid. He had no reason to go back. "Argh!" Alen yelled. Why did she make him so confused? What was so special about Jewel?!

Jewel darted to the doorway when she heard him shout. She watched him seem like he was struggling with something internally. "I feel yah," she mumbled.

Alen sat down on the ground. He couldn't decide. "Curse you!" He said to himself. WHYYYYYYY... Go back. Leave. Go back. LEAVE. GO BACKKKKKKKKKKK. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Go say something. You know you want to. .... No you don't go find Ronin! .... But you do! Go say something to him! .... Go. Find. Ronin! ..... NOBOTHOFYOUSHUSHUP! "I'm officially losing my mind," she grumbled in annoyance.

Alen closed his eyes. His mind was reeling with random thoughts and emotions. It's too late. You already left.... "Bleh.... Whyyyyyyyy......."

MOVE YOUR FOOT! Jewel took a step forward. GOOD NOW MOVE YOUR OTHER FOOT! She took another step forward. NOW WALK UNTIL I SAY STOP! She started walking and when she was just a few feet from Alen she thought, Now stop! and she stopped. Repeat after me: Alen? "Alen?" I actually like, "I actually like," You, and if I, "you, and if I," Don't spit it out, it will go insane. "don't spit it out I will go insane." She just stood there after that, like a statue.

Alen looked up. "Really?" He asked, surprise playing on his features. He stood up and smiled. Smiled. "I think I like you, too." Alen was still smiling, and for the first time he didn't mind. Not one bit.

Jewel's face broke into a huge smile. A true smile. Not a fake act smile. "Really?" she squeaked.

"Yah. I think so..." Alen looked at the ground. He hadn't shown his emotion in a looooooong time, and it felt good. He laughed. "But there is a blurred line between liking you and wanting to shoot you." Alen chuckled. OHMAHWORDI'MACTUALLYDOINGTHISWOW....

Jewel laughed her tinkling laugh. "Well, you can do that later. My ankle still hurts from that fall I took right before you showed up." She laughed again.

"Sure. Keep telling yourself that." Alen crossed his arms. "You're lucky I fell for that! I guess that's what happens when you haven't eaten for a few days!" Alen looked at the ground. "It's nice to hear your real laugh." Alen shuffled his feet.

"Of course it worked. I'm just so charming like that." She smiled. "It's nice to see you smile," she returned.

"It's nice to smile again, too." Alen looked at Jewel, not knowing what to do. It'd been around a hundred years since he'd showed his feelings...

Jewel sat down by him and laughed at a sudden thought. "Y'know, Ronin is going to kill me if and when he find out that I'm actually not hard as stone."

Alen laughed along with Jewel. "Well, I doubt he will be able to do anything about it. Not while I'm around." Alen looked at Jewel. "forgive me. I have not shared my emotions to others for around a hundred years." He laughed at the stupidity. "I see that was a stupid mistake on my part..."

Jewel smiled. "Well personally, I like it when you show your emotions."

"I have enjoyed it as well." Alen nodded. "Honestly, I don't know what I'm suppose to do..." He looked at nothing in particular, a small blush creeping into his cheeks.

"What do you mean?" Jewel asked, cocking her head to the side.

"Well, you told me that you liked me, I told you that I liked you... Am I suppose to walk away? I can walk away, you know, in a random direction....." Alen looked at the ground, his blush deepening. This was embarrassing...

"Oh... I dunno..." Jewel chuckled. "We're both as old as time itself and we can't even figure out what to do when we like someone."

Alen couldn't help but laugh at that notion. "You'd think we'd be better at this by now..."

"Yeah. And even if we haven't liked someone before we have seen other people like each other. We might have at least picked something up from them!" Jewel laughed too.

"I feel like such an idiot right now..." Alen smiled, and looked at Jewel. "I can't even remember my own age... Silly, isn't it? When you reach around 200, you stop caring, but sometimes I can't help but wonder..."

"I think I'm.... four thousand...? I'm probably more but whatever." She shrugged and smiled.

"I don't remember... I know I've been here long enough that I saw the hills become mountains..." Alen shrugged.

"And the mountains crumble back to hills," she agreed.

"Yep... time can be so confusing..." Alen chuckled. He looked around, having the sudden feeling he was being watched... Strange...

Jewel saw his expression and looked around too. "What is it?" she asked.

"I feel like I'm being watched..." Alen shrugged. "It is probably nothing."

((I REALLY FEEL LIKE HAVING SOMEONE TRY TO KILL HIM AND ALMOST SUCCEEDING.... I don't know why...))

((Do you have a character for that? Cause I also feel like something going wrong and I have Fleet, who is always causing issues in my role plays. ^_^((

"You do?" Jewel looked around again, studying things more carefully this time.

((*le gasp* I would so have London do it, but she has no reason to... lemme look.... I just want something terrible to happen... idk why!!!!))

Alen looked around again. He couldn't shake off the feeling, but he couldn't see anyone, or feel their presence... "I don't see anything strange..."

((It has to be London... Hmm... Maybe we could act like Fleet and London were fighting, and they get caught in the crossfire??? O.o))
