OK, never mind. I figured it out.

I do not think your profile picture transfers.

On the right side of the column it will say 'showing 5 of 36 discussions. Click on that and a complete list will pop up.

Thanks K.A., I wasn't able to get to this.

Thank Scrod there really is a group shelf! I thought all that work we did at Shelfari would be lost!

Yeah, that's what I said about ratcheting my handcuffs repeatedly.

Fishface, I see you are busy trying to add all the Shelfari TC group's books to Goodreads. Are you adding one by one or is there a mass export feature.

I am frantically adding books one at a time. One list at a time, actually, as even the Manson Family list isn't THAT long.

The rules should only pop up the first time you post a comment. I'll check the settings.

I recently went through the discussion threads and 'cleaned' them up a bit.
I locked some really old threads, deleted some that had no comments.
If you see a thread with a topic you would like to discuss and it is locked, just start a new thread.
If you want to contact me: Belleza

Thank you Belleza. I am still learning my way around and the clean up helped.

It's pinned to top of the author of the month folder.

But the folder cant be pinned to the top?

I don't understand your question. I click on bookshelf and see all the books you've added. Not sure what you mean by 'folders'.

Well, when I add a book to the shelf, the little screen pops up that gives me the option to create folders -- I assume the rough equivalent of a Community List on Shelfari. So I have a Michigan Crimes folder, a JTR folder and a Moors Murders folder set up so far. But I can't finger out where the folders are listed so I can just open it and see what's in there so far.

ETA: I do see that you can add books to discussion folders when you are identifying the book. So, for example, you should be able to add a book to the established Michigan Crimes discussion folder under the group's home page. However, I don't know if that will show up somewhere on that added book's page on the shelf. In order to sort that way, you most likely have to set up specific shelves like the ones listed above, which you can also do, so you can then choose one of the shelves to sort by - if that makes sense.

Short answer is it's not. It creates a folder in the discussions. Then the folder sits there invisibly until someone posts in it. I don't know where the book goes.
Not sure if that explains it and I'm sorry it took me so long to get to this. Any more questions just ask!
