I think you should use that for food on the cover.

Will do that later.

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments Hey guys! I saw we haven't filled up the beach challenge, but Crescendo features a beach (Delphic Beach) in parts of the book! Maybe we could switch mine to there, since now it's just for girl on the cover!

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments Hey guys! I'm gonna try and read some books that can fit the missing categories :) I think we just need rings, Mr. Or Mrs. In the title (which I think Drishti is reading), love/wedding title, and shoes on the cover :) I think there might be one more but I don't remember it

message 306: by Meaghan (new)

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments I'm going to read the Statistical probability of love at first sight for the Love in the title one! :)

Great you can cover that up! I think Cinthia is reading for ring on the cover. Also, I'll be reading Coffeehouse Angel for beverage on the cover (I think nobody is reading for this description, is anyone?) So, don't bother yourself with these two descriptions.

message 308: by Meaghan (new)

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments Ah alright perfect! :) i think the other time is getting close because of how many pages they've read, so I might try to fit some larger books into categories for that once we've done the challenge once :)

message 309: by Meaghan (new)

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments I'll try and find a boon for shoes on the cover once I finish the one for 23

message 310: by [deleted user] (new)

Wow. We are cutting it pretty close. I'll be done with rings on the cover today hopefully I got like 100 pages left. Today is my short day at work and I'm glad I need my reading fix!!! Snippets here and there during breaks at work is not cutting it lol.

message 311: by Meaghan (new)

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments Yea the other team is really catching up! So that's why I was trying to finish everything atleast once :) I'm about 30-40% done with my book for 23, and then on to one with shoes! Is there any category we could possibly finish twice?

message 312: by [deleted user] (new)

Part 1 seems like the easiest categories to fill.

message 313: by Meaghan (new)

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments Yea, and I see a lot of doubles there, so we might be able to finish that twice :)

message 314: by Meaghan (new)

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments Just finished my book for challenge 23! Looking for a book with shoes on the cover next, and then I'll move on to finding some books that I can read to complete task 1 again!

message 315: by [deleted user] (new)

Just finished something borrowed by #12 rings on the cover. Review is up. Reading Landline by Rowell but unsure where I'll put it yet.

I didn't get a chance to go through the books we've read but I saw there is an edition for Pride and prejudice that the cover shows male and female wearing shoes so that could be an alternative to shoes on the cover..

message 316: by Meaghan (new)

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments I actually am like 60% done with shoes on the cover, so maybe it can double up in task 1 so we can finish it again?

message 317: by Meaghan (new)

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments I see we have two challenges doubled and one tripled, could we move the extras to task 1 and try and finish that again? Because I think that'll be the easiest to try and do again

message 318: by Meaghan (new)

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments Like I can read Finale for couple on the cover :)

message 319: by [deleted user] (new)

Meaghan yes. Can you make the suggestions which ones to move around I'm won't be able to today.

message 320: by Meaghan (new)

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments Alright I'll take a look at them :)

message 321: by [deleted user] (new)

Awesome.

message 322: by Meaghan (new)

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments Hey guys! I know how we can move some stuff around to possibly fill task 1 again :) Amrita, could you move the Siren from 18 to 2, a book with a girl on the cover? And Cinthia, can you more your the Siren from 30 to 6, a new book? And Eva, can you move Prince of Venice Beach to a book from a guy POV? And I can move Crescendo to a blue book with one of the other editions :) if there's a better way to do this let me know!

message 324: by Meaghan (new)

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments I'm doing serious next time around, so that's probably why I didn't get anyone here either :(

message 325: by Dana (new)

Dana | 887 comments yeah im in medium

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments I'm gonna be reading Finale for 1, a couple on the cover :)

Same here! I was kinda apprehensive before the challenge started because Sarah said that the lack of organisation in Fun teams may bother some. But, needless to say, we are quite organized for a Fun team! This team has really set some standards for my definition of an ideal team!

message 328: by Drishti (new)

Drishti (drishti_ohri) | 1077 comments Dana wrote: "yeah im in medium"

I'm in medium too. But, unfortunately, we aren't in the same team. =(

message 329: by Meaghan (new)

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments Yea I'm really glad with our organization too! That's why I moved into the tougher categories as well, as I don't think I'd ever want to have a team not organized, and I was lucky with having a great team this month.

I'm not getting something here. Abbie has listed our progress for completing Part-1 like this:
t 1 - The Bride and Groom
1. A couple on the cover,
* Cinthia, Feb 13th - From a Distant Star

2. a dress on the cover
* Siobhan, Feb 21st - The Lost Heir

3. a tiara or veil on the cover

4. Book told from a male point of view
* Drishti, Feb 10th - The Honest Truth

5. Book told from a female point of view
* Cinthia, Feb 8th - Steel Scars
* Drishti, Feb 11th - The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner
* Meaghan, Feb 17th - Silence

6. A New Book (from 2015 onwards - ARCs are fine too),
* Cinthia, Feb 8th - Queen Song
* Dana, Feb 23rd - Big Girl: How I Gave Up Dieting and Got a Life

7. a blue book (either a book with a blue cover on goodreads, or with 'blue' in the title)
* Dana, Feb 11th - Thicker Than Water
* Drishti, Feb 21st - A Study in Scarlet

8. a borrowed book
* Amrita, Feb 10th - Six of Crows

9. make up or Jewellery on the cover (or title)

10. A man in a suit on the cover

So, shouldn't we try to fill #3, #9 and #10?

message 331: by Meaghan (new)

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments Oh I looked at the progress and it had 1 of each book on it, but maybe I was looking at the wrong thing?

message 332: by Drishti (new)

I guess you were looking at post #1 which has the completed part-1. The thing I posted is from post #2 which shows our progress for completing part-1 a second time.

message 333: by Meaghan (new)

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments Oh whoops! I was thinking it seemed pretty empty

Drishti (drishti_ohri) | 1077 comments Doesn't it look like this edition (A Study in Scarlet) has a man wearing a suit?

message 335: by Meaghan (new)

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments Oh yea that definitely does!

message 336: by Drishti (new)

Drishti (drishti_ohri) | 1077 comments Meaghan wrote: "Oh yea that definitely does!"

Shall I ask Abbie to switch it?

message 337: by Meaghan (new)

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments Yea I would! :)

message 338: by Drishti (new)

Drishti (drishti_ohri) | 1077 comments Meaghan wrote: "Yea I would! :)"

I asked Abbie to switch it. =)

And, doesn't it look like that in this edition ( Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen ), the woman is wearing a necklace? Would it work for #9?

message 339: by Meaghan (new)

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments Oh yea she does!

message 340: by Drishti (new)

Drishti (drishti_ohri) | 1077 comments Do you think this one ( Steel Scars (Red Queen, #0.2) by Victoria Aveyard ) would work for #3?

message 341: by Meaghan (new)

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments If the drops are in the shape of a tiara or a crown then yes :) I can't completely see, but it looks like it

message 342: by Drishti (new)

Drishti (drishti_ohri) | 1077 comments Meaghan wrote: "If the drops are in the shape of a tiara or a crown then yes :) I can't completely see, but it looks like it"

I better confirm this from Sarah once.

message 343: by Meaghan (new)

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments Yea I would, I feel like it does though!

Drishti (drishti_ohri) | 1077 comments Meaghan wrote: "Yea I would, I feel like it does though!"

Sarah approved! :-)

message 345: by Meaghan (new)

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments Yay! What do we have left to fill then? :)

message 346: by Drishti (last edited Feb 24, 2016 10:42AM) (new)

Drishti (drishti_ohri) | 1077 comments I have asked Abbie for all the three switches. This means that we can complete Part-1 a second time. Part-2 will be completed once I finish Mr. Maybe. But, can someone please read for beverage on the cover to complete Part-3? I know I had said I would read for that one, but exams start in ten days. So, things are a bit crazy around here.

Also, I have read The Maze Runner (Maze Runner, #1) by James Dashner and The Scorch Trials (Maze Runner, #2) by James Dashner and have buddy reads for these too. But, I'm not getting where to put them. What do you guys suggest?

message 347: by Meaghan (new)

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments Hmm, the only thing I can think of is POVs, but that might not be smart. And I'll cover beverage!

message 348: by Meaghan (new)

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments I'll find a book for it now :)

message 349: by Meaghan (new)

Meaghan (ectophine) | 3596 comments Quick question, but how do I input the actual covers of a book into my reviews or the chat? For some reason ice only been able to do links

message 350: by Drishti (new)

Drishti (drishti_ohri) | 1077 comments Meaghan wrote: "Quick question, but how do I input the actual covers of a book into my reviews or the chat? For some reason ice only been able to do links"

How to: ADD A BOOK COVER TO YOUR POST

1. Above the comment box to the right is add book/author. Click on it.

2. In the search box, type in the name of the book you're looking for.

3. Before you hit search, look underneath the search box for add: link cover. Click on the circle next to cover.

4. Click search and scroll through the options to find the book you're looking for. Click add.

5. Post your comment!

I hope this helps! :-)
