Jessica (jessica42980) I have not figured that out yet. I'd love to hear what others are planning for that one!

Jonathan Cotto | 3 comments I have a question. What exactly should be intimidating about the book? The cover, the title, the concept, the size? Cause out of the books I currently own, the only one I kind of find intimidating is City of Heavenly Fire,. I have read big books before, Like those in the Inheritance cycle, but for some reason Heavenly Fire freaks me out, i haven't been able to start it since i bought it and its the last one in the series. I don't no if its the amount of pages or the idea of reading it all and being disapointed. Does that count as a book that intimidates me???

I'm thinking of Dante's Inferno for this one...I interpreted this to mean a book that you worry might be a very difficult read.

It sounds like that's a good choice for you...

Jessica (jessica42980) I agree! Go with that book Jonathan!

Jessica (jessica42980) I need to look at my books and go through my kindle to find something "intimidating". There is also the library. I know I'll find something!

Jessica (jessica42980) M.L., if you read Dante's Inferno, read Dan Brown's Inferno. It's a good book and based off Dante's Inferno. And it's going to be a movie with Tom Hanks!

Steven I think it means reading a book you wouldn't normally read based off variety of factors, not limiting to just one. Length of book, subject matter or stigma attached to book come to mind for me

Steven Dantes Inferno is an excellent choice I agree.

Mein Kampf, The Quran, War and Peace, Count of Monte Cristo, Book of Thomas, Clockwork Orange are books that have come to mind to me

H G | 5 comments On my shortlist:
War and Peace
Ulyses
No Plot – No Problem - write a novel in 30 days
The Colour Purple-Alice Walker
I know why the caged bird sings - Angelou

All for different reasons. To be honest I don't think it's going to be Ulyses! But that also fits under the Banned book category for anyone feeling brave.

Steven I went with Count of Monte Cristo unabridged for this one
