Taking part in the group's extra day, extra reading challenge has meant that I was able to do a bonus reread: The Tales of Beedle the Bard. I am so glad I reread this that I increased my rating to 5 stars because there are lots of hints and links with the rest of the Harry Potter universe and Dumbledore's commentary was so insightful.

Well, it looks like I won't be able to complete my challenge. I guess I shouldn't have picked Les Miserables for my last book. Oh, well I got 4 out of 5. I'll still finish it next month since I love the book.

Only managed to re-read one this month.

Finished 2/2 rereads for the months. It was lovely to spend some time reading childhood favorites. My second book was Island of the Blue Dolphins. Thanks for this challenge. :)

I intended to get my second book read yesterday during the "Extra Day to Read" challenge, but things came up, and I didn't get in more than a handful of pages. Oh, well...I still enjoyed the one reread I finished - which I probably would have never reread if not for this challenge - and I'm inspired by you all to add a few more rereads this year.

As I've said here before, I almost never reread books. Considering many of my faves were read in the 1980s-1990s, I really want to see how I feel about some of them so many years later, despite my fear that changing perspective will tarnish my good memories of my earlier read. When the offer to lead this challenge popped up, I already had a full roster of books for other challenges and group reads for February, so I wasn't really prepared. I think I need pre-plan this sort of thing for myself months ahead of time. :)

A couple of days too late, but I did finally finished re reading Les Miserables by Victor Hugo. Loved it even more this time around. Sorry I didn't meet my goal, but glad I took my time reading it.

A goal is just a beacon on the horizon. The journey is the true aim of things. I use goals to guide me, not for self-punishment :)

This is a great attitude. I agree completely! I still struggle to put it into practice, though.

I started Out of the Dust, on 2/29, but Island of the Blue Dolphins was strangely draining to me, so only one book was finished on our leap day.
