it starts off with a family celebrating their 100th anniversary of the family watch company. they were the Ten-Booms the father Caspar Ten Boom Betsie, Nollie, Willem and the youngest corrie (the author) . Nolllie and Willem eventually married leaving corrie Betsie and their father. One day Willem brought a Jewish man to their door who recently escaped Germany the first Jewish of many began to live in their house Then, in 1940, the Nazis invaded the Netherlands. the Ten-Booms always were trying to help their Jewish neighbors and friends in anyway possible. later the Ten-Booms house becomes the center for a major anti-Nazi operation. Corrie had to lie, steal hundreds of ration cards, forge, and bribe many people to save the Jewish people in her house-watch shop.a man asked all the Ten-Booms to help his wife and all the Ten-Booms agree and help the man only to find out e was a spy and their house was raided the Ten-Booms and even the employees were arrested but all the Jews were safe hiding and were never found but the Nazi's. after they got arrested corrie found out everyone in her family was released but learned ,Casper died 10 days after the arrest, corrie finds out her sister Betsie is the only one left with her. Corrie Ten-Boom and Betsie Ten-Boom are still in jail will they get relesed by guards or die there read and find out!

i like this book cause the faith they have through out the book is eye opening and amazing.
