V - hear ya on homework. Been 5 years since I finished my degree and I still recall the horror of homework :)

Me - trying to get over my jitters to delve back into my writing. I need to make some progress on my story tomorrow, so wish me luck and inspiration!

Hey ladies! I did get to write yesterday, clocked in close to 8K on the WIP, so there's always that.
And hubby surprised me on Saturday by taking me to see Deadpool (well, he wanted to see it more, lol) and we had a nice time. Sorry for the buzzkill but it seemed the trailers already had all the best bits, but it was good :)

Feeling kind of meh about my reading challenge. Has this ever happened to you guys? Where it kind of feels like the challenge takes away the enjoyment of reading?

I usually just set a number for my challenge and then race to it throughout the year. Less pressure that way, but yes, challenges can get tedious at times *hugs*

All dressed up to go to a Mystery Dinner with my mom. A "who-dunnit" type thing. Going to be a 4 course meal! I'm excited but the theme is 1920's and I'm dressed in tassels....I'm telling you guys that tassels went out for a very good reason!!! lol

I'm wiped out, two sick kiddos and a sore hip wasn't on my weekday planner. Oh well, books, recording and writing for me till work. Hope everyone is doing well this week

On a good note, I got a breather from editing deadlines this week and have made good progress with translating one of my titles to French. Hoping I can finish by early next week now :)

Thanks Zee, finally got them healthy again. Hoping for a good weekend, especially Saturday. My sister and I are going with a family friend and her daughter to the ComicCon in our area, so can't wait for that. Hope everybody has a good weekend!!

As of now the original Red Ranger from the 90's Power Rangers will be there along with Nichelle Nichols from Star Trek and voice actor Billy West whom is Frey on Futurama. I really want to see Billy since I do voice over online for audiobook plays and such

I will say it was fun, exhausting though when chasing two teenagers. I also met some great authors as well and hope to read their books soon. I'll post them on here so everyone can get a chance to read them.

Tell me about it! I've got 2 boys (17, 13) and I shake my head at all the teenage idiocy out there...

Ugh, I have a brother (17) and a sister (14) and the drama and trouble they cause is enough to scare me for the twins teen years.

LOL! I think it's all about grounding them and being open with them. We've talked about everything to the boys (yep, even the 13-yr-old learned about the birds and bees last year) and this 'trust' seems to be paying off as they both come across as young men with a strong dose of maturity. Still kids in some aspects (they do push limits regarding homework v/s computer time, that sort of thing) but we gotta say they're good kids on the whole.

That's good they're open with you guys and being young men yet still being kids. My sister is a little more open with me so I try and guide her.

Yes, that seems to be the way to go *hugs*

We saw P&P&Zombies as well as Daddy's Home. PPZ wasn't bad, but it could've been longer, imo. Though the proposal scene was to die for!

I really want to see that movie!! I'll have to see if we can get to the theater again before it's out. We FINALLY saw Star Wars!

I'm at work :P Trying to get my blog post about crafty YA characters going. There's one character that I know crafts...but I'm not quite sure what, as I haven't been able to read the book yet, but can't find ANYWHERE that says what she does...

Super tired today. Have off work and school tomorrow so all I can think about is the fact that I can sleep in tomorrow!!!

I am so excited because tomorrow I'm going to the archery range after missing a couple weeks from illness and I finally get to see Deadpool! Until then I'm snuggled in bed trying to get sleepy by reading. I'm sure that'll work

Gosh, am I glad for TGIF today! It's been a heck of a week (had an appointment with my oncologist and there was the prospect of more surgery needed, but thank God none of that now). I'm just so relieved, I totally crashed and burned from the stress that's been building over the past 3 months, since the last time I saw him, and would you believe it - I also come down with a cold thanks to all this crashing. I am so looking forward to a break and some R&R this weekend!

Feeling fasley productive today lol I only took care of two bills and it's given me this false sense of productivity. It's Monday and it's rainy so I'm surprised I got anything extra done! lol
