gina~* | 39 comments I am flying through Mary Janice Davidson's Undead series. It is so funny! What did everyone else think? Thoughts? Opinions? Comments?

Jackie M | 452 comments I have read them all. I think that they are great and love that they are funny. I can't wait for the next one.

Melissa They started out fantastic to me. Then about book 6 I got a bit disappointed, but the last book brought my opinion back up again. I got a bit frustrated with how slow each book was going. It covered hardly anytime at all. It's like the Stephanie Plum series by Evanovich with the timing. It feels like both of them are slowing things down a bit to get more books out of the series. Both of the series are ones I automatically buy the new books, so they haven't lost me as a reader by doing this, it's just hard to wait all that time for a tiny bite out of the bigger picture they must have planned.

Chrissy315 Jones | 17 comments I've read the whole series also. I love her undead series. I also have to admit the series has slowed down some. But I still love to hear about Betsy.

gina~* | 39 comments Are there any other awesome Stephanie Plum/Betsy like series out there? I love a good quick read that has me chuckling!

Terri (terrilovescrows) | 188 comments I have read a couple of them and they are quite fun. Esp. how Betsy won't follow the rules

Elvia (elvb) I LOVE this series. Betsy cracks me up...she is so self-absorbed it's hilarious. I can't wait for the next one to come out. In the last book her friend keeps sending her the emails with txt talk...that makes me laugh out loud!
MaryJanice Davidson also has a few other books about cyborgs that are pretty funny...same type - hard-a$$ chick disobeying the rules except she's half human/half machine.
Good stuff.

Melissa I LOVE the cyborg books, Elvia! She also did the Alaska Royal series. She did a "what if the Russians didn't sell the U.S. Alaska and it went on to become it's own country. The were fun, sassy romances. Her Fred the Mermaid books were good too, but Betsy is still her best. I would say the cyborg books are second best. Her dialogue is so fantastic and that's always what I look forward most when picking up one of MJD's books.

Jackie M | 452 comments The only thing bad thing I have to say is that I wish her last book would of came out in paperback and not hardcover.

Elvia (elvb) Melissa, I have been meaning to pick up the Fred the Mermaid series but haven't gotten around to it. Should I bother? I love her characters but for some reason mermaids threw me lol. Let me know if it's worth it and I'll get the first one.

Melissa I liked the mermaid books for what they were. They aren't nearly as good as Betsy, but the dialogue and funny stuff that happens to the characters is there. I bought them all because they were MJD and I gave them 4 stars. They are very fast and entertaining. If you geniunely like her style of writing, I think you'll enjoy the series. It's just a trilogy. She's done with them. The mermaid was actually very cool. Give 'em a try!
