Michelle | 2 comments the whole book consist of these two men talking. the interrogator(?) would occasionally visit the suspect to ask further questions. I know one man was being held for committing something. At the end the suspect is released. He was actually the brother he was talking about or he pretended to be him I can't remember. I think it's a crime novel not sure. I read it possibly around 2008-2010 and I think it had a red cover.

Diana Welsch | 530 comments IF there's any chance it was a play, check out The Pillowman. My copy is red.

Plot: "Katurian, a writer of short stories which often depict violence against children, has been arrested by two detectives, Ariel and Tupolski, because some of his stories resemble recent child murders. When he hears that his brother Michal has confessed to the murders and implicated Katurian, he resigns himself to his execution but attempts to save his stories from destruction. The play includes both narrations and reenactments of several of Katurian's stories, most notably the autobiographical "The Writer and the Writer's Brother", which tells how Katurian developed his disturbed imagination by hearing the sounds of Michal being tortured by their parents."
