February has arrived and with it, we move to a new main class- 100. This encompasses books from 100 to 199 and is referred to as the “Philosophy and Psychology” class. In other words, it is the class of the mind!

Interesting subdivisions include:
110- Metaphysics
114- Space
115- Time
127- The unconscious and subconscious
128- Humankind
133- Supernatural
135- Dreams and mysteries
140- Specific philosophical schools
150- Psychology
153- Mental processes and intelligence
160- Logic
170- Ethics
180- Ancient, medieval & eastern philosophy
183- Socratic & related philosophies
184- Platonic philosophy
185- Aristotelian philosophy
190- Modern western philosophy

Come to any library to find books from class 100! If you are stumped, speak to a friendly librarian for suggestions.

Happy hunting!

Lyn | 59 comments this month's challenge was an easier find for me, than last months, and the time it took me to realize it didn't have to be a computer based book.
February's find is Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman

Not sure what I will pick for this month - but it will probably have to do with Supernatural or Dreams and Mysteries :)

Oh! I read the description and it sounds like a great book. I may have to read it, though maybe not for this challenge.

I'm still trying to decide as well. There are a lot of good subdivisions in this class!

Ann (ann-fracturedfiction) | 516 comments My Dewey book for February is Rising Strong by Brene Brown. I found her books because she wrote the forward for The Art of Asking by Amanda Palmer, and read her book Daring Greatly. So now I'm interested to see what she says in this book.
Rising Strong by Brené Brown Daring Greatly How the Courage to Be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead by Brené Brown

I think I will try this one for this month's Dewey Decimal Challenge.

I am reading Ghosts of Virginia's Tidewater this month - it is a quick read so I should be finished soon!

Ghosts of Virginia's Tidewater by L.B. Taylor Jr.

Everyone has such great choices for this month. I found a pop culture philosophy book to read, but sadly, I won't be getting to it this month. I just ran out of time! I'm going to save it and hopefully read it next month.
