I have been sick so haven't had the energy to do anything much. I got a bit of progress on a couple of books but nothing finished this week. Hope the rest of you fared better than I did!

Katherine (kiik) I completed two books last week: Steel Scars (prequel) and When We Wake (science-fiction). My progress will be slowing down a bit, so I'm glad I'm a couple books ahead at this point.

Charline (charline84) | 80 comments Hi everyone. I finished Devil In The White City which was interesting. I think it will make a great film, DiCaprio and Scorsese are doing it apparently. It was about a city and time I know nothing about so was really good to read in detail about the fair. I really liked the Mr Ferris story too.
I'm nearly finished Still Alice, will finish in the next day or two. And plan to read Room next.

Mandy | 89 comments I finished the The Lake House this week which I really quite enjoyed and would recommend.

Also looking to read Room soon, I want to see the movie and debating whether to read the book first or see the movie before it leaves cinemas.

Glad you found it interesting, I thought I read something about it being turned into a film. That should be really good.

I see that When We Wake is part of a series, would you recommend it?

I enjoyed the first book, but I'm not dying to read the second. The first stands alone pretty well, which may be the problem, because there's no big cliffhanger to make you want more. I did buy them both from Book Outlet, though, so I'll get around to While We Run eventually.

Leanne | 9 comments I completed A Spool of Blue Thread and The Poetry Of Cats. SOBT was pretty good. POC was so-so. I guess I've outgrown poetry.
