Your self-esteem is astonishing. I can give you some of mine if you want! Got plenty of it ;)

The message was for you but I guess it could be both :P

I will do my best to take a #OurSharedShelfie though!!! I'll probably post it there ^^ Although I've got the ebook version of The Color Purple which doesn't look quite as nice as my hardcover of My Life on the Road.

Learning to celebrate your-self is one of the key steps in feminism...getting out from under some patriarchal ideal of what we should each look like. And it only gets worse for women as we age (I am 69 and must now celebrate my aging self. So far so good, by the way)
So my crone advice to us all is, as the song so intuitively states, "Let it go..."

Well, you look very much like a nice human. ^^

Don't be shy, everyone! We'd all love to see your pictures - in pjs, with pets, while drinking tea, anything!
Take care.

oh, so f words are allowed but not a [psi] book description on a what your favorite books? thread. wow. okay,

I'm sorry. I don't know what your [psi] book description was about or why it wouldn't be allowed, but I'm pretty sure profanity should be allowed if it isn't being directed at someone as an insult. After all, we're all adults here... well I'm not but we've all reached the age where we've already discovered the F-word, right?

The description to which you are referring was from a repeat spammer who had been warned previously. Posts repeated on multiple threads are considered spam and are against the rules here.
Profanity, used respectfully, is permitted here on Our Shared Shelf.

OH YEAH, god bless chris rock, richard pryor, bernie mac and the def comedy jam videos.

Katelyn, I am not a spammer, and I have always stick to the topic, the book has very wide spread knowledge and I can use it to describe many of the topics here debated.
I believe I have never before been warned (as I would know about), but my posts were directly deleted. I believe there was none violation of rules, except in Elenas topic, when I make too long description, which was not recommendation. But I understand that this is your work, and of course many times there is something that bothers us without a reason.
But is it true that I have posted relevant information from the book. When it goes for religion, I have explained the view of the theory which is from the book, when it goes for feminism I have explained the view from the theory. But you must understand that if I do not add the background knowledge, nobody will understand anything. So I apologise to any mod, if I somehow offended him/her, and I believe we will continue to work with each other on the same shelf ;)

What exactly do you need help with?
You have a phone with a camera on I assume? Go nuts. ;-)

Do you not have an icon on your photo screen that lets you reverse the camera? (so that it's pointing at you).

You can use a mirror. Click yourself in front of a mirror, that's what the kids used to do before front cam went mainstream!
