Tim Hello everyone

As I'm sure you have all noticed by now, one of our adversaries, James, has posted the following video on many a thread in this group

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZrGe...

Let me say now, I have no hate for James, so if you're reading this, please do not take offense. I do, however, wish to talk about the two gentlemen in the video and some of the general views they spout. The ideology promoted by these two gentlemen (at least in the case of Stefan Molyneux) is laissez-faire capitalism. That entails minimal government influence on the economy, or absolute abolition of government, whilst still preserving capitalism.

I would normally not do this kind of thing, but I just want to warn everybody right now, to stay away from this ideology. To their credit, the people who follow it may have some valid arguments about our current society here and there (such as the war on drugs), but do not let that fool you into thinking that their proposed system is more desirable in any way. At the end of the day, their proposed system is childish, unequal, propertarian, and from a historical point of view it has little to do with libertarianism (as they describe themselves as libertarian). So, if you ever come across the words "voluntarism", "(market) libertarianism", "anarcho-capitalism" or "the free market" keep your guard up, especially considering their denial of global warming, though that might not necessarily be a uniform characteristic among them.

It is also worth bearing in mind that most if not all market libertarians view feminism and pretty much all left-wing ideas with unrelenting vitriol. So far, I've yet to come across one market libertarian who supports feminism, yet I've come across none -I repeat NONE- who didn't explicitly state that their ideology promotes equality. That should at least keep you on your toes. The worst irony in their anti-feminism is the fact that Ayn Rand, a woman, wrote one of their favourite books "Atlas shrugged", but then again Ayn Rand had basically no empathy as a human being, so I guess they do prioritize general lack of empathy over gender, so maybe they're not as sexist after all.

Right now, I've not come here to promote the far left-wing ideas which I find to be (though not perfect) the most preferable, as I admit I have done on other threads. Right now, I've merely come here to show what ideas you should absolutely avoid. If, however, you really wish to watch this video and possibly others by Stefan Molyneux and/or Paul Joseph Watson, then I won't stop you, go right ahead. However, do not let their slimy "everything bad is the government's fault" rhetoric trick you into thinking their alternative is preferable. Their ideology is at the end of the day right-wing and serves to protect the privileged, and judging by some of the great discussions I've read in this group over the past moth or so, I think it's fair to say that we do not stand for that.

Thank you for reading and if you wish to look into these ideas and the supporters thereof, feel free to do so, but at your own risk. Have a good day.
