Brianna (bebecburt) I am starting a re-read of this and would love someone to discuss it with! I've seen the movie and the show as well.

Nicole I haven't read the books, so I'd love to read them. I only have the first one at the moment though.

Brianna (bebecburt) That's fine! I don't plan on reading the rest of the series yet.

Nicole Okay, sounds good. When did you want to read it?

Suzanne (book_marvel) I need to reread this series soon as I still havent read City of Heavenly Fire yet

Brianna (bebecburt) preferably sooner the better, so within the next few days? if not when would work for you?

Nicole Next week, or after. I'm going to be out of town starting tomorrow, and won't have much time to read probably.

So maybe the week of 22nd? That would be fine by me! I can wait. lol

Nicole Sure!

Brianna (bebecburt) Awesome !

Neila (neilafranch) That sounds perfect! I have already read this series, but I'd love to discuss them with you!!

Sarah (sarahforsman_) Would def like to join you guys in reading this one!

Brianna (bebecburt) The more the merrier!

Since there is now a few of us, how do you guys want to discuss it? On which platform? By Chapter? etc.

Nicole Awesome! I'm really new to buddy reads, so not really sure what the best way is.

Sarah (sarahforsman_) I've never read a book in this group before. I don't know what's best, any suggestions?

Brianna (bebecburt) I'm not sure how many people in this group are doing it. Previous buddy reads I've participated in have been done a few different ways. some I've done on twitter. others when it's just one other person though messaging on here. so idk...

Natália Lopes (silkcaramel) I've read the first three books in the series and plan to read at least City of Fallen Angels till the end of the year so I would love to join in the discussion!

Riley Elizabeth (ReallyRileyReads) | 12 comments I am having trouble getting through the first book. I've heard it can be difficult to get into the first two books, but I'm seriously struggling. I absolutely love the story, characters, and writing but does anyone have any tips to help me persist? Hopefully someone else has had this struggle :)

Natália Lopes (silkcaramel) I struggle a bit in the second novel, it didn't hold me as much as the first, which I read in two nights. I think what made me go through City of Bones so quickly was because I just saw the movie the same night I started reading, so I already knew a little bit about the story and the characters and the new additions of the book were surprising and kept me interested. As for the third book, the beginning was a little bit slow, but 2/3 in it really picked up.

Riley Elizabeth (ReallyRileyReads) | 12 comments Thank you! That really helps because I have seen the movie! Man, I need to get back in the game XD

Sarah (sarahforsman_) Just wanted to let you guys know I'm unable to read this book with you because I'm currently reading 2 others. I was hoping to finish one of my books this weekend but that never happened because of my busy life and schoolwork. Will read this book eventually though

Nicole @Sarah: I'm fine with waiting longer to read the book, if you want to still buddy read it.

Don't you love when life happens and you can't read as much as you'd like? lol It's completely understandable!
I'll probably still start this book tomorrow since I'm reading it for a challenge and don't want to fall too far behind. Anyone who wants to read it now can definitely reach out and we can talk about it. I'll also be up to jumping in a later discussion!
