What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I read this book last year or so and I'm pretty sure the 2nd book in the series wasn't yet out, though I could be mistaken for this.

Girl who is down on her luck starts working for a guy as his PA, she discovers by accident that he's a vampire but she doesn't freak out as much as you'd think. I think they end up spending the night at a house of a friend belonging to her boss where she sort of makes friends with everyone in true mary-sue fashion.

I know he takes her out for japenese food and buys her something to wear, this happens to be a kimono and she hands it up as a display in her bedroom.

There is some sort of mysterious evil involving curses or spells and coins and at the end, her apartment goes up in a fire and she's in hospital.

Can't remember if the H/H become romantically involved or not.

Anyone know what this is?
