I also like the book but was a little disappointed at the end.

I know what you mean about the end. It got a bit too science-y for my liking. It spoilt the feel of the story.

Great list Aida. Happy reading. If you're looking for a book for Antarctica, a segment of Where'd You Go, Bernadette is set in Antarctica.

For South America you could read Ways to Disappear, set in Brazil. I've just started reading it, and so far its great.

That was a great book. And yes, it meets the Antarctica criteria!
